About Goblin Harvest - The Mighty Quest
The Game
Goblin Harvest - The Mighty Quest is a procedurally-generated Strategy-RPG. It's like playing a board game and "choose your own adventure" at the same time, where the two parts of the game connect and intertwine in a variety of exciting and intriguing ways.
Each turn, you'll command your armies to attack the invading Goblins, then turn your attention to the King's Champion's quest. Only by working together can the King and his Champion hold back the invading hordes.
Because it's procedurally generated, the game's designed to be played multiple times. Adjustable difficulty settings vary the challenge.

Goblin Harvest is a turn-based strategy game that represents a board game where you control armies defending towns from hoards of goblins. The game developer advised me to check out the "quick start guide" here and I would highly advise it. The game takes a while to understand and even on the easiest difficulty, I lost my first game before watching that video. Upon starting you notice several options you can tweak and the game includes a 1 out of six difficulty rating based off of those settings. This is a fantastic idea as it helps gamers tweak individual things without worrying about how hard or easy that tweak will make it. In the game, you control two characters, the king, and their champion, on the map you see rows of goblins to destroy and at the base of your site is what is called your "citadel" if your citadel is destroyed, you lose the game. The gameplay consists of moving your armies with the deck of cards you are dealt each turn. For example, if you don't have a hill card, you cannot advance onto a hill. The combat is simple, all you must do to destroy a goblin is to move onto it before it moves onto your army, if it does this to a town, the town will be destroyed. The …11 found this helpful
Sadly disappointing. I had high hopes when I read about a strategy/RPG crossover, but there are too many troublesome mechanics that waste all the potential in a mire of bother. All the fun is lost out of the storyline by the time one even leaves the first city, and a lack of proper direction only adds to the detriment of this mess. I regret buying it, more so because I bought it at full price. How sad.5 found this helpful
Goblin Harvest is a convoluted boardgame/cardgame hybrid where you draw a hand of cards and use them to make strategic battle decisions on the game board. Because this isn't complicated enough, there's a background story/resource management schtick going on as well that you need to pay attention to. On a technical standpoint the graphics are a bit weak and there's no 4K support or UI scaling. Those technical deficiencies aren't the killer, though, it's the directionless complexity and overall lack of fun. There's a weak tutorial and some kind of video you're supposed to watch, but if I have to go attend online courses to play a boardgame/deckbuilder then this is directly against the purpose of gaming as a form of recreation. Maybe with a bit more polish and a much better UI, some kind of enjoyable game could be salvaged from this, but as it is, it's more likely to give you a headache than an enjoyable gaming session.3 found this helpful
https://youtu.be/dZnlDVFDBok A lot of good ideas are packed into this small title and gives this game a lot of potential. The missing polish, especially for UX, ends up squandering most of it.1 found this helpful
It’s alright
Very nice game , right from the start. I'm a board game fan, so this also counts, keep in mind. At start it was weird, but when i noticed that i can use my cards wisely, exit my tower and EXPLORE with many decisions and choices, the game clicked immediatelly! I wished the hero's battle was a little more complex than rock paper scissor, but i think this is done for simplicity.
