What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players appreciate this short horror game for delivering genuine scares and fun moments, with particular praise for its pixel art style and functionality across devices. However, several reviewers criticize the hide-and-seek mechanics in the second half for feeling unfair and overly punishing, with inconsistent enemy behavior and frustrating RNG that overshadows the stronger opening section; additionally, some feel the story could be more developed to better complement the gameplay focus on reflexes rather than narrative immersion.
The real moral of the story is the gore in crayon we made along the way2 found this helpful
i accidentally left it running for a while so it looks like i played this game for 70 hours lol. i dont want to leave a negative review as i like the vision behind this game, but for me the story could be a bit more elaborate and i easily got frustrated with the mechanics of the game. by purchasing this game, i really wanted to get invested in the story but it ended up testing my reflexes. i understand how all of these elements combined could be a really satisfying gaming experience for others tho, and i encourage the developers to make more games, hopefully with more emphasis on storylines1 found this helpful
An alright horror game if a tad annoying in the process, regardless the dread is effective so i can't fault it for that.
First part is good, the second part has the most God awful hide and seek mechanics that I have ever played, sometimes the mother is flatout camping outside the door after she leaves, sometimes she catches you even if you have the flashlight turned off and you are not running, plus the fact that you can't even enter doors after turning off the light means you can't even run from her. It's a terrible RNG once sighted game over endeavor.
cool, got a few scares out of it and reminded me of Clocktower. Just a shame it's so short.
For a game this short, it made my night :)
