Granvir: Zero Front

[b]Jank[/b] but Charming Mecha Roguelite Action [b]Gameplay[/b]: Granvir: Zero Front is a "[b]demo[/b]" of sorts, but features some solid roguelite mecha-action underneath some of the "[b]jank[/b]" clunkiness. -It has a relatively simple gameplay loop. First you pick a "[b]campaign[/b]" which is a grid of maps you play on. you choose your class and difficulty. Then you're given a semi-random selection of parts to start your run with. Between runs places you at base of sorts which has lite resource management elements. Here you can use a number of hours as a currency to modify or repair your mech, on top of a handful of other options based on the class you picked. From there you deploy into the battlefield. -You then have a main objective, and secondary objectives in map. With roaming enemies and occasional friendly mechs. The map is open and as you kill enemies the difficulty slowly ramps up with enemy "[b]Response[/b]" escalating. Before eventually you extract and go back to base to change up your mech. -The combat feels a bit clunky at first especially with the sorta confusing controls. (Which are somewhat customizable!) this is the Free version of GRANVIR. but do NOT mistake it as being less than the full release. you are given a whole chapter of story to play with yourself (and FRIENDS) if you play multiplayer.

An excellent game. My first three hours absolutely flew by. If you enjoy mech building and roguelike this is an easy game to suggest, and bonus you can play it easily on an aging laptop.

BETTER THAN GBO2

This is just the demo for a larger game, but this demo has more meat on its bones than some full games. It's a roguelite mech builder with a huge amount of possible builds to let your imagination run wild with. In my first run I started with a relatively conservative "robot that holds big gun" and ended up with a spider abomination bristling with firepower; in my second run I started with a agile biped optimized for melee combat and ended up with a rocket sled with a handcannon in one hand and a giant drill lance in the other. If that sounds like your cup of tea you'd honestly be pretty silly to not try out the demo. Three hours later I am one happy customer and definitely going to get the full thing down the line.
