kind of feels unfinished and abandoned, released minimal viable product.4 found this helpful
the detailed customization is what I was after, and that *is* cool for what it’s worth. But the gameplay is mid and the story… what story 😭 I can’t get past ts it’s like I’ve experienced the great misfortune of stumbling upon some horny fifth-grader’s online roleplay as soon as they discover anime tropes. (And can’t even just ignore it and play for the customization because I would have to play through to unlock everything)2 found this helpful
Cool mech game, but Armored Core this isn't as the gameplay is far more mindless. Mech building is very detailed, but overcomplicated. You can decorate every detail of the mech, but you have to do it manually. While you can paint all parts at once, if you want to paint maybe 3 or 4 specific parts, you gotta do one by one. Some decor is hard to do because it uses position/rotation sliders that are relevant to the part instead of global position. So you have to fiddle with 2 different dimensions at the same time to put a part lower, for example. Other than that, building your mech seems to be entirely decorative. There is no option other than biped mechs. You can even build your own models using premade shapes, if you don't want to use prebuilt stuff. The gameplay is an average third person shooter with melee combat. Not bad, but not that amazing either. Guns feel very weak and enemies are massive sponges. Melee is flashy, but repetitive. Some systems are never explained, like how you unlock extra melee moves by researching a specific upgrade or how editing your weapons gives new modes and moves. The worst part of the game are some very bad control options. Camera is REALLY bad, …1 found this helpful
Like everyone else, we all enjoy to create our Mecha with so many customization. It is one of those games which the devs implemented so much in the creation, that when you go into gameplay, this is where everythings is fallen. I finished the game and I grinded almost all the researchs by doing, over and over, the same missions, not just for the materials and mech parts, but getting the money because this is what I was missing the most when unlocking something. I almost feel that I need to do over 200 times the last mission to finish fully my last remaining trees in the Architecture tab (This one is the pain just because how many branches they are, seriously.) And to be honest, I barely see the use of them due how the gameplay is, at this point. And speaking of gameplay, it is shallow, even at the end of it. Even if you have build, let say for example a full range mecha and you have almost everythings maxed out in targeting, the physical guns, especially the assault rifle, can litterally and fully misses a target who is simply, believe it or not, side WALKING at slow speed. I found this problem when I was dealing against some other mechas during a mission and they just going side…1 found this helpful
Its an awesome game. I'm a sucker for customization and this game has tons of it! Not only can you completely customize your mechs you can also make your own customized weapons. Great game for GUNPLA fans. You have to complete missions to unlock blueprints for more armor and weapon pieces. But the arena style battles are very quick and enjoyable.
Great Game if you like Mecha
