About GUNCHO

Guncho's core mechanic is based on a unique shooting mechanic. By moving, shooting, and unloading bullets, you influence Guncho's revolver cylinder rotation. To outwit your enemies, align your bullets with the hex-grid through clever tactical moves.

You can also use the environment to overcome the challenges of each level by targeting explosive barrels or pushing your foes into fire or deadly cacti.

After each level, choose from a variety of bullet upgrades and skills to further improve your tactical abilities. In each run, you face a final boss that will test your skills and tactical finesse.

- Unique positional shooting mechanic.
- Turn-based Wild West roguelike shootouts.
- Hex-based tactics gameplay.
- Randomly generated levels.
- A variety of enemy types, with different movement and skill sets.
- Easy and Expert game modes.
- Daily game challenge.
- Unlocks and Achievements.
- Steam Cloud saves.

This game is super addicting. It never gets old. OFC I love the theme of the game obviously but also it is a change for a western game.
I liked the version of Pico 8 better. But this is a great game! I was very happy to find it! I hope we see more games like this with Guncho
I've played this game a fair while, and I'm not entirely sure what I feel about it. The core element is very enjoyable. A hexagon based grid dictates where you can move, and a six-shot revolver dictates in which direction of those directions you can shoot. Both shooting and moving will cause the revolvers' chamber to turn, moving fired chambers around, preventing you from firing in those directions until you reload. An enjoyable and fairly intuitive concept that requires some planning ahead. This is emphasised by the information icons above your characters head before you confirm a move. It'll tell you if you're likely to die with a skull, and from where with curved arrows above the grid, or a direction you're being moved in with straight arrows away from you. The games problems however - for me - stem from the games randomness, which seems to contradict that core concept. The enemies are well varied, and require different strategies (the woodcutter is melee only, the gunslinger can shoot four hexagons' away, the demo man will throw a stick of TNT that'll first light, then explode, the donkey will charge, pushing you (and whoever else is in the way) in a direction. There is ho…
This game tickles my brain in the same way Into the Breach does. A++
"Welcome to [strike]the Gunshow![/strike] Guncho!" Charming rogue-lite with a novel mechanic. The tuning leaves something to be desired, as the first few levels are rather too easy and the boss is rather obnoxious. Stages 4+ prior to the boss, though? /Chef's kiss. Since the game takes between 20-30 minutes to play in full (sans boss level), plenty of time to experiment with different abilities and ammunition modifiers, as well as cackle about all the different enemy types, models and interactions. Recommended for: enjoyers of rogue-lites; fans of pixelated westerns; aficionados of tactics/strategy games with a focus on positioning, especially on small/tight map sets; those who appreciate a hefty does of silliness, chaos and downright fun in their games. Thumbs up, 7/10 for the numbers crowd. It's a $4.99 game and it shows, but it's a whole lotta fun (and value) for that money. edit: probably necessary. probably sooner rather than later, even. yep. /struckthrough the wrong thing. <sigh>
I've been playing TTT's games for a long time and am happy to see their first desktop game is just as challenging, yet satisfying as mobile.
