About Gunslugs : Rogue Tactics
Stealthy and precise? Avoid cameras, hide in the shadows, and take down enemies one by one like a tactical mastermind. Prefer the classic spray-and-pray method? Grab your biggest gun, kick down the door, and start blasting—because sometimes, the only stealth you need is making sure no one’s left standing.
With procedurally generated levels, no two missions are ever the same. Each failure is just another excuse to blow more stuff up, try a new strategy, or equip a pair of fast shoes and just outrun your problems. From tossing tennis balls to distract guards to setting off a perfectly placed minefield, every encounter is a puzzle… or a fireworks show, depending on your style.
So, what’s it gonna be? Careful infiltration or total carnage? Either way, get to the chopper—or at least try to!
Key Features:
- Stealth or Mayhem? – Sneak like a shadow… or go in like an unstoppable action hero.
- Mission Variety – Every run throws new objectives your way.
- Tactical Shenanigans – Distract enemies with rocks, set traps, or just dropkick them into oblivion.
- Loot, Baby! – Stock up on shields, EMPs, helmets, and ridiculous weaponry.
- Ever-Changing Battlefields – Procedurally generated levels mean no two missions play the same.
- Big Explosions – Because what’s an action game without some good ol’ cinematic BOOM?
No two runs. No boring moments. Just non-stop, action-packed, tactical mayhem. You in?
What Steam players say

Players appreciate the pixel art style, varied weapons, gadgets, and procedurally generated maps that provide replayability, with some praising the stealth mechanics and responsive combat. However, the game suffers from significant technical issues including broken controller support, UI overflow bugs, sprite rendering problems, and game-breaking bugs, while the core gameplay is criticized for shallow mechanics, awkward platform design, and poorly implemented enemy AI with unfair difficulty that doesn't match the slower pacing.
It immediately draws comparison to a more cautious, lower budget Broforce... but the slower more pensive pace is not at all backed up by deeper more interesting game mechanics to make the game interesting to think about. Terrain is noisy with lots of awkwardly placed platforms that are annoying to jump on, and less dynamic elements (no exploding parts that blast holes in the terrain, that I saw; not saying they'd have to be explosives, there are lots of kinds of interesting dynamic terrain tiles this game doesn't have in it) Enemies have these tiny little view cones, and sort of bumble towards you if they sense where you are. Not to say that they're easy to kill without getting hurt, though: you get like a dozen hit points, because the enemies will eagerly start shooting you with hard to avoid projectiles at point blank range when you feel like you should have gotten the stealth drop on them.10 found this helpful
terrible hitboxes, UI that overflows it's borders, sprites that appears out of bounds, bugged achievements. yep, game is an abysmal cashgrab.7 found this helpful
Good game but it's missing controller support, you can disable mouse aiming in options and use Xpadder to map buttons to the pad.5 found this helpful
Great pixel combat rogue-like game with loads of various missions together with a good varied enemy lineup, weapons and gadgets/items to keep you addicted. Procedurally generated maps for unlimited replayability5 found this helpful
Controller input didn't work with an XBOX one controller... Hard Keyboard controls, got stuck on a game breaking bug.... But still had fun! https://youtu.be/4fMfE1Bucw04 found this helpful
In this video I take a look at Gunslugs 3:Rogue Tactics,* a pixel art stealth action game. I was surprised by how good this title is. It's very well designed and has a great quality to it with smooth, responsive, and entertaining gameplay. It looks like it has been designed to be fun so there is no platformer type painful challenges, it's all about the stealth combat action. You can carry a range of weapons in your inventory, collect coins for the shop and I even had to pick up a body and use it to activate a retinal scanner on a door lock. I didn't get to try it for too long due to time constraints but the quality was apparent so if it looks like the kind of title you may like it shouldn't disappoint.
