About The Scroll of Taiwu : Beyond The Dome

✦ AI summary

Build your martial arts legend across a procedurally generated Chinese world, learning thousands of techniques from rival sects while managing villages, forging relationships, and raising heirs to face your clan's ancient enemy. This sandbox RPG blends deep character simulation with roguelike combat, crafting, and life management—where every NPC ages and dies, your choices reshape the world, and even cricket fighting can change history.

Overview

In the world of "The Scroll of Taiwu", you will not only play the mysterious "heir of the Taiwu clan," but also immerse yourself in the complex martial world with varying life stances — whether good, evil, or neutral. You can visit martial sects around the world to learn a wide variety of martial arts and secret techniques; you can forge brotherhoods or become embroiled in blood feuds. You can build your own village, manage various industries, and even marry your true love, raising children and fulfilling a destined romance. All this leads up to the final confrontation with the Taiwu clan's greatest enemy, where you will decide the fate of the world!

The Unknown Jianghu

  • Every Taiwu World you create will be truly unique —With completely randomly generated maps, NPCs, and enemies, each playthrough will be a brand-new adventure.
  • You can learn thousands of martial arts techniques from the fifteen distinct martial sects,
and hundreds of traditional Chinese crafts and skills from nearly any NPC you encounter.

A Fusion of Various Gameplay Elements

  • In addition to its RPG gameplay, "The Scroll of Taiwu" also blends in many other game types, such as Roguelike elements filled with random conflicts,
  • and carefully planned simulation and management mechanics: construction, gathering, expansion, management, crafting, and maintenance.
  • It also brings back childhood nostalgia with its cricket fighting gameplay — capture the most combative "General" cricket, then engage it in an "insect diplomacy" duel with the Shaolin Abbot.

"Living" NPCs

  • Thousands of NPCs, each with their own relationships and life experiences, will age, fall ill, and eventually die.
  • You can form various kinds of relationships with them, even deciding their fate.
  • You will marry and have children with your partner.
  • You will cultivate and pass down your lifelong martial arts skills to the next heir.
  • In the vast sea of people, you may even search for your lover from a past life.

Meticulous Crafting

  • Through gathering, crafting, repairing, and refining, you can use your own hands to forge any weapon or armor, and brew a variety of medicinal pills.
  • Pick up a poisoned weapon, wear poisoned garments, and consume antidotes laced with poison.

Authentic Martial Arts Combat

  • A unique combat system that restores the design of "countering moves," "using everything as a weapon," and "the longer the blade, the stronger the strike, the shorter the blade, the more dangerous the gap."
  • Every slash, sword strike, and palm will land on different parts of your enemy's body, creating a true-to-life combat experience.
  • Combine your martial arts techniques, channel your inner Qi strength, and refine your skills and strategy.
And there's much more, waiting for your discovery.

Невероятно ужасный интерфейс. Я думал, что китайцам норм, но даже они там кипишуют...

It's a gem of a sandbox game, unless you spend sometimes to understand the mechanics you will rate this game as negative. My only advice don't rush the main story or take care the Taiwu village except removing ruins/weeds to get some early head start, but spend time more on the maps, spend time on your main sect square, find companions with better stats on cities, mark location of high skills doc, farm better items from the map (highlighted resource mean chances to get tier reagent), have few sets armor focus on different type defenses, max out you qi cap, focus on a specific attainment on martials, capture npcs etc++ you'll be amazed how good this game is

One of those games that make their own stories, like this one: I am a master of poison, who went to beat up a bird-wielding sword-woman who was immune to poison. She kicked my ass. So I had to go to the shaolin temple to learn their sacred bird-woman beating arts, but they would not teach teach me because I was a woman too. So I buttered up a shaolin monk with bribes of home-cooked creamy tofu and we had a grand time gambling with some bugs I found on the side of the road. Eventually we had such a good time bug-gambling that he agreed to teach me the sacred shaolin art of women beating. But it turned out that my wrists were too weak and my knowlege of buddism too pathetic to use the arts effectively. It took me 3 years to figure this out. So, instead I married the monk and snuck him out of the temple in the dead of night, marking us both as wanted criminals for the crime of forbidden love. It was worth it in the end, as me, my new shaolin husband, and 2 other rowdies that we gambled with chased down the poison-immune bird loving woman and beat the crap out of her and her stupid looking bird. Once my husband stops being useful, I will either poison him to death so that I can remarry…

The game needs a better save system. its so frustrating to have to start over because the game only saves at the beginning of each month.

No way does this game deserve a mostly negative rating. You want stats? This game gives you stats in abundance. The combat system is incredibly deep as is every other system in the game. Its a turn based RPG with crusader kings influences and ive just scratched the surface. 10/10
