A nice virtual park/museum about Altai nature and history. Clearly a passion project of a small dev team. I was surprised by how much developers managed to cramp into those semi-open locations. The game is linear (you go from one location to the next), but there are a suprising amount of densely packed content in said locations. That, along with the ambient music/sounds, creatures running around, etc., makes it so the world doesn't feel empty nor too small. Apart from walking around, you can talk to NPCs, read journals, search for collectibles and solve some light puzzles. Every dialogue is voiced, which was a nice surprise. There are couple of interesting mechanics, such as being able to take a picture and save it inside your phone's gallery (which is even tied to some quests) and being able to switch between 2 characters, who can perform different actions in the world. The game is nicely optimized, although it comes at a great cost of visual fidelity. Low-quality textures and models along with low draw distances/LODs really mess up how good the game could've looked and come off very "potato"-looking. There are also a number of UI-related bugs (text being cropped, dialogue windo…17 found this helpful
A peaceful trek across the backcountry in Siberia, with Arina looking into local legends. What could be there? The game Heart of Altai has the answer. As Arina treks across the park in search of a mystery, she gets to explore a land where there could be a an interesting legend. Game feels like it could be a park or museum. There is so many things to do. Fish, look for animals, and respect the art on the walls. Also, get to work on puzzles too. I also get to met a shaman. Some rare stuff too. I even get to travel a horse and that was kinda cool. The world building feels like it is “right size. The ambient sounds, and the bird chirping. Feels like the world isn’t empty/devoid of anything and still is filled to the brim with life. The usage of a cell phone is my favourite item in game, as it is a tool in game used instead of a dedicated camera. Very realistic to the player. Voice acting is nice. The English feels normal, no irregularities. Game feels optimised and runs well, although there is slight polish needed. The game is in early access so I do hope there is more. If there is one thing that I believe need to be fixed, it is the signs in game. There are some signs ar…5 found this helpful
Красивые пейзажи, приятная музыка и спокойный геймплей. Идеально, чтобы расслабиться и насладиться природой. Не для тех, кто ищет экшен, но если хочется уединения и умиротворения — точно стоит попробовать.5 found this helpful
The project definetely has a potential. The current state (Jan 2026) is not perfect, but playable. Had to replay 2 chapters because of bugs, high and not adjustable mouse sensitivity gave me motion sickness, got stuck a few times with no tasks and "i've got things to do" message preventing you from leaving the area. But overall experience is very positive. The game will be getting more content soon, so I hope to dive deeper into legents and traditions of the Altai people2 found this helpful
