Neither fun nor funny. The puzzles are frustrating because they don't make sense at all. Don't waste your money on this one

The first in the series and it's from Tell Tale Games. The graphics are what you expect out of a simple point and click game. The animations are cartoonish and it works well for this genre. The puzzles are well thought out and they do make you think a little out of the box at times. The story is spread over 3 Episodes and this one is well paced. The entire series is chock full of dry British humor, dark jokes and innuendos. I'm not a fan of British humor, but it was a little funny at the beginning - but that was it. Give this a go for a change in your usual well laid, well narrated story rich games. This could use some achievements for the combinations of things you can do. Perhaps steam cards as well. But sadly I found neither. I enjoyed them once but I won't be playing them again. - 7/10

This would be a very hesitant thumbs up. You really need to be the right player in the right mood to enjoy it. I had my fun in trilogy, but I definitely wasn't the right player. Hector: Badge of Carnage is the story about a British alcoholic, irresponsible, and all-around unlikable inspector on a case to stop a maniacal terrorist. I can't really go into any more details because it's absolutely the draw of classic adventure games and it worked well enough that I played all 3 chapters back to back. It's worth noting that this is a very crude form of humor. Violence, sex, a little language, mean-spirited jabs and plenty of feces and vomit. It's definitely not my style and I wouldn't particularly recommend the game to anyone that is bothered by it. There was enough good here that I continued playing, but I can't say I'd do it again. Mechanically, its old-school graphic adventure and its a good one at that. Most of the puzzles are relatively easy to find, logical, and kept my attention straight through. There was a minimum of pixel hunts and I only found myself stumped by not having seen clues on a few occasions. This leads me to the biggest thumbs up of this game. It has…
