very clever tile-jumping action game. the controls feel precise and the gameplay styles work really well together, which leads to some fun and creative level design. also the presentation is just lovely, the soundtrack is genuinely not to be slept on. theres some jank and rough edges here and there, there were a few levels that broke slightly, but i could still continue through to beat scenario 3 just fine. all in all i love it, do recommend.

HopDodge is an incredibly charming and fun platformer puzzle game that I think anybody can enjoy! Both the top down and 3D aspects of the gameplay work in tandem for a fun experience. The puzzles in each level are very enjoyable and provide a good challenge. The platforming is also very satisfying and sometimes requires good timing, taking a couple tries until you’ve got it. Some levels are harder than others but none ever felt unfair and there wasn't a level I didn't enjoy! Artistically the game is also great, I love the simple graphics and hop looks adorable! The game is readable while also having a very unique and abstract digital style. The writing and story can be witty at times and is an overall good aspect of the game. But what I really enjoy is the soundtrack. The sound effects are nice (especially hops very cute sounds) but the music is lovely! I've adored listening to every track that plays throughout the various levels. Overall HopDodge is a game I would absolutely recommend if you're looking for a fun experience, even if you don't typically play platformer or puzzle games.
