About Horizon To Crinoa: Have Faith in Radiance -Prototype-
Horizon To Crinoa: Have Faith in Radiance -Prototype- is a small scale, prototype, anime action RPG showcasing some of the general ideas, aesthetics and gameplay style we’re hoping to achieve with our future game projects! It’s a high speed, stylish, action game with major RPG elements, skills and abilities inspired by classic Japanese RPGs!
Follow the simple story of our main character, Yellette, set in the world of Crinoa, on a small excursion in order to find ingredients for cooking. What was assumed to be nothing more than a simple quest, transforms into more trouble than she could have seen coming!
Make your way through a small section of the Island of Ezelpor, where the local Jeletan Season has spread wild Jeletan throughout, and take down the few species of these beasts you find with cool, stylish combos and flair!
Main Features:
-Stylish Action Gameplay
By chaining skills together with the game's unique systems and mechanics, you can unleash devastating combos and skills on enemies to show off your abilities in order raise your 'Flair Meter' higher and higher for better rewards!
-Active Character Switching and Assists
For this prototype, you will be able to control and play as two characters; the fully fleshed out main character, Yellette, and the simpler character, the Jeletan, Ermli! By tapping the 'character switch' button you can instantly switch characters in the middle of a combo or chain to further extend your combos and show just how much flair you can pull off with the techniques available!
Furthermore, by holding the "Switch" button, combos can also be extended by instantly calling your non controlled party member to activate an assigned "assist skill" for them to perform on a target.
-Simple story with in depth lore and an in game glossary
Though the story is simple and sweet, it is used to set up the personality of Yellette, our main character, and to further set up the world and setting around her for future titles. Enjoy the voiced main story cutscenes and partially voiced sidequest stories to get a true feel for our characters and world! And then delve into the many terms, places, people and ideologies of the world of Crinoa!
Venture into the World of Crinoa and show us just how stylish you can be and just how much flair you can bring forth as a 'Hero of the World'!

"Horizon To Crinoa: Have Faith in Radiance -Prototype-" is one of those "What's the point" projects annoying Steam gamers who look for real, fully made, complete games. Instead the developers decided Steam Direct is for unfinished and abandoned attempts to make games (and I stress the word "attempt" here). They dumped what they admit is a prototype action RPG... considerably worse than most AAA ARPGs already on Steam, onto the platform, for no apparent reason apart from to pollute Steam with things that aren't full games, to the benefit of nobody. It's another case of developers putting their own desires above what's good for gamers, and when developers don't give a flying F$@# about what's good for gamers, it makes gaming worse for everyone. As is the case here. What do you do in the game? Lightweight ARPG combat with 1.5 characters and nothing else. Despite not being in Early Access, it's obvious this is an incomplete product. Developers have an obligation to deliver complete, not partially done products to gamers, that shouldn't be controversial. For a game that recommends using a controller, the control scheme kind of sucks for it. Maybe it just kept bugging out on me, but after finally figuring out how skills work, they became very difficult to purposefully use because of all the forward-forward-backward nonsense and apparently-misread inputs. Would've loved to have an alternative method of activating them. As it is, I really tried, but I couldn't sit through the excessive monologuing just to deal with stressful controls. Hopefully all this gets ironed out in future projects and/or any proper release of this title.
in spite of it being a prototype, the game is a solid short & sweet ARPG with a good amount of fleshed out depth in it. i really like how expansive the playables' kits are, and enemies aren't exactly a joke if you aren't careful. i found it weird that knockdown recovery tech (aka "Regain Will" in this game) is not a default passive and instead has to be unlocked in the skill tree given how easy it is to get beat to death with several enemies hitting you otg without said passive. otherwise this is genuinely one of the most fun ARPGs i've ever played !

Would of loved to play this game, however it is so bad for PC play, controls are poor, cannot be changed, camera stutter is big, it's a shame really I was looking forward to this.
This is a game made for a high school project. Lot of bugs. Clunky controls. Audio bad. Why publish this?
