Horror Hotel

"Horror Hotel" is a rather poorly made 2D top down survival shooter... I guess. This comes across as more of a homework assignment, so, as a gamer, if you really like looking at other people's homework, especially when they failed the course, then this is the game for you. Otherwise, well, it's not. It's really badly made. I mean, great, it's genuine as far as I can tell, not some kind of scam or asset flip, but genuine intentions alone are not enough to make a great gaming experience. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs to pretend they're mobile phones or Commodore 64s. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded.
