Riddled with bugs and bad optimization. GPU will sky rocket after starting this one so be warned! Some cool ideas like climbing on walls. Unintuitive controls, jumping under E, attack under F, what next? Dropping dongos under delete? Sometimes hard to find where to go next. Whole idea is not bad, control mechanized wolf and smash things but execution leaves much to be desired.
A pretty solid idea, and the execution although a bit rough is still very fun. Definitely worth a shot if you have an hour or so to burn, playing as a giant robot werewolf will always be fun.

If you have some free-time and no money then this is a good way to spend it. Well worth a few hours of time to enjoy playing learning the mechanics and getting that 100% (which is tricky). Overall is an alright looking demo of a concept that is good. Its a shame a publisher didn't pick it up and make something of it because it could be a full game. Overall i have payed far more than free for a much worse game that what this delivers.

Howl of Iron is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from U-TAD in Madrid, Spain (where they also have particularly nice fried squid ring rolls and hot chocolate, don't knock it until you've tried it). While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. This is a very promising looking third person action brawler (think Darksiders I guess) with robot things and stuff. I have to say the visuals are immaculate, but this lacks almost any polish whatsoever... it's clunky and unpleasant to play, and thoroughly unoptimised.…
