Ignis Avis Venatio

Probably one of the worst VN out there. You just want to slap the protagonist constantly and nothing makes sense. It's sad to have to read such a terrible writing while the art is stunning :/

TWENTY BUCKS FOR A GARBAGE E-BOOK!!!! Ignis Avis Venatio is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. This e-book was slapped together with the godawfully bad RenPy Visual Novel/E-Book construction kit, so just like no professional writing took place here, no professional game development took place either, it's just a product of filling out templates in the construction kit. The writing here is particularly bad, as the "author" figured he could probably just write his own anime/manga plot and become a superstar by dumping Ren'Py garbage at ludicrous prices onto Steam, which is for games, not E-books. It's hard to follow the terrible writing but you're supposed to be a whimsical magician or something..…

I didn't enjoy the story very much.

[i]it no bueno.[/i] There's typos in the first page, IN THE FIRST PAGE!! It hits you with [b]"I think therefore I am"[/b] and at the end of the page it hits you with [b]"During a teary Skype call with my parents-"[/b], SKYPE WHAT DO YOU MEAN SKYPE?? Here's a good quote that sets the mood perfectly of how the writing is [b]"No friends, I assure you I am a child of solitude, a dweller of the dark abyss"[/b] to be fair, the MC is literally 15 years old, it's a 15 years old Alex YIIK. Also the main character has amnesia. Anyways for someone that enjoys pain I'm defo reading the whole thing. Only recommending this to fellow masochists. (Disclaimer: I got it from a key given by my friend so I dunno about buying it full price, on sale or on purpose but it is great if it's an accident or ironic gift.)
