It's a cute game, the art and music are good. It's a good premise and fun characters. I wanted to recommend it. Problems: 1. The game is way too short even for this type of project. 2. There's only one good ending, the rest end with your character dead. 3. The choices feel random, there's no way to figure out what ending you'll get based on the choices you make. Obviously if you get one bad ending you'll want to play again to get a better one. After a few tries at the good ending I just googled the spoiler. I'm still not sure why that set of random choices led to the place it did.1 found this helpful
Very cute and funny short visual novel.
It was a nice story, still i agree that there are only not much in terms of happy endings but i feel it was enough Kinda wish to see a follow due to the way the best ending ends but i enjoyed my time
Magi Trials is a fantasy-themed visual novel developed and published by Dharker Studios that centers on magical ambition, personal transformation, and the challenges of proving oneself in a world where magic defines status and opportunity. Rather than presenting complex gameplay systems or interactive mechanics, the game focuses primarily on narrative storytelling and character interaction. Built around the familiar structure of a choice-driven visual novel, it places players in the role of a young aspiring mage attempting to gain admission into a prestigious magical academy. Through dialogue choices and branching narrative paths, the player gradually shapes the protagonist’s journey and determines how their unusual circumstances unfold. The story begins with the protagonist preparing for the Royal Academy of Magi’s entrance trials, a series of magical tests designed to determine whether applicants possess the talent required to join the institution. Unlike many other candidates who have trained for years, the protagonist feels underprepared and anxious about their chances of success. In an attempt to gain an advantage, they perform a forbidden magical ritual intended to increase …
Certainly not worth 15$. Some hot CGs, but honestly, too much of a nothingburger in terms of story and world building. Plus six of the eight promised endings are just Bad Ends
(though technically one of them isn't death, so congrats I guess?)
The original was best summed up as Crossdressing: the VIsual novel. Now they literally turn you into a girl and put you in as many risque situations as possible. from women in various states of undress (including topless thanks to Eri) At least your relationship with Charlie is wholesome enough to justify a good time but as someone who prefers substance with their nudity; this one is a pass. I do like the auto function to make it feel more like the passive medium it is; but in the end I feel this is more about what is more on screen than the Harry Potter level stakes this game offers later on. Only get this on sale and when you know you are alone and lonely enough to justify the purchase. Good stakes, nice LGBTQ-like story about a male accidentally transforming into a woman but overall the NSFW content was enough to make the good mute by comparison. As a man I hate to say this but can these girls just stay fully dressed while I read my great value Harry Potter visual novel?
