The game is rough, but it's a no less of a gem for it. I was going to give it 30 minutes and it took 6 hours from me. I *like* this game and was heartbroken to learn it's only singleplayer. Easy to get into, easy to lose yourself in, I recommend this game. Controls - Mostly there. The basic WASD is used, and E and spacebar as well, but the rest of the controls aren't all that intuitive. Usually there was a prompt, but not always (talking to a starbase does not give you any prompt to "end" the chat). Sometimes tooltips pop up with "press V for venting" or "press C to heal" but I think it could certainly use more tooltips. Still, pressing F1 has most of the controls I need listed. Graphics - They're easy on your GPU without being garish, though it is frustrating that the HUD will cover enemy ships. If it were smaller or a little translucent, it would solve that issue. Gameplay - I'm struggling to express how I feel about this game. It has character. And it's a little deeper than I expected. There's more of a learning curve than I had expected, so don't be deceived. This isn't some new take on a shmup game, this is a mix of a shmup, an rpg and a dash of something else. A fun little game. Mine resources, use resources to build(and design) ships, go fight enemies. Simple but effective. The game suffers from a bit of interface akwardness and lack of explanation, but if you can get through that there's some good fun to be had here. Mining is chill and satisfying, the combat is simple but also chill. There's a number of different races/classes you can pick and there's a campaign (that seems to be based on your class?) to play. The galaxy map is quite huge as well, so you're never at a loss for places to go. Designing new ships is fun too. All in all, a positive experience! Would recommend.1 found this helpful
A little rough around the edges but overall a pretty neat game and fun to play if you like vehicle-building and/or mining stuff. Game is separated into two primary phases. Mining phase basically involves chewing up planets for resources, space flight phase involves building a ship from crafted parts and engaging other ships in combat. Nice addictive loop. Mining is super relaxing and the space flight stuff offers a fun payoff for your work. Definitely worth the price and would recommend checking out.1 found this helpful

If you can not afford to buy Reassembly, then it's probably worth buying.
