Inn Trouble

It's an interesting concept, and is fun for short play periods here and there. After a few minutes with it, I can feel like it'd be repetitive, at least on the most relaxed difficulty. But it's fun and enjoyable for the type of game it is. It's simple, easy to pick up. I'm very curious how it might work on my steam deck because it's a perfect pick-up and play game when I'm waiting between other things I want to do or otherwise just want to chill with in the evenings or something. I don't want this to be too negative, but there are a few concerns I have though: 1. My biggest concern is that the mechanic where you can only order one piece of furniture at a time until it's been moved to a room gets in the way if you order something you didn't mean to. I have to either move it somewhere empty or destroy it for what feels like an expensive cost (at least early game). The ability to change what I ordered for free until it's been picked up would be appreciated. (e.g. it cost me 30 of the 58 coins I accumulated to destroy a table when I really wanted a chair. I imagine this is less annoying mid-game, but early game when I only had a few coins made it at least a little annoying). 2. I'd…

I've played this developer's previous "furniture"-themed games, and this one is clearly the most polished. You finally get to see how the fairytale characters actually *use* the furniture, which really brings the game to life! Cons: - It has a tutorial. Let's be honest, nobody *loves* tutorials. Pros: - Thankfully, the tutorial is pretty unobtrusive, and after a few minutes, everything clicks. - I can already tell I'll be coming back to this game a few times. Don't expect massive replayability, but it's definitely worth revisiting. - The game's concept is very original. - Good value of money. Things to Consider: - The game offers aesthetic pleasure from upgrading the furniture, but you're not actually *designing* anything. The focus is more on optimization and earning stars, which (as far as I can tell) are awarded for different combinations of furniture and characters. Overall, for this price, it's an easy recommendation from me. It's a unique and charming experience.

Maybe I misunderstood something, but I don't think the Queen is all that scary :)

Controls are awful. Camera moves slowly, zoom seems to have no intermediate between super zoomed in and way too far out. Both include a blur effect that makes me feel motion sick, which I can find no way to disable. UI is badly organized: info windows pop up over each other and are often hard to parse. It also runs very poorly on my machine, despite it easily meeting the listed minimum specs. There are hardly any graphics options to fine-tune this, either. Overall a terrible experience.
