What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players appreciate the relaxing, accessible gameplay loop of building and customizing inns without complex management systems, though some find it becomes repetitive or transitions into an idle game once progression stalls. Common complaints center on slow leveling that provides too few upgrade points, forced pet adoption with no dismissal option, pathing and AI bugs that cause customers and staff to get stuck, unclear error messages, and tedious furniture management lacking mass-move functionality.

Great game for around 4-8 hours. If you want 100% you'll need to play 3-4x longer than the content in the game. Wish they would come out with more options to build things or more rooms. Options are limited but decent game. 6/10. Also after afk'ing for the last 16 hours I found out you can shift click place things.. saves you a lot of menus. :)1 found this helpful
Level Points are TOO FEW and Pets are TOO MANY This is far from the worst game in the tavern keeper genre. And it is a fair way to while away a few extra hours... So I did say, yes, i would recommend it to others. BUT it is a half-hearted recommendation because the wait for leveling to get so few upgrade points gets boring very quickly... and really, after there's 4 pets, why not let me dismiss the adoption offer?? I do not want so many pets...1 found this helpful
For the price its a good little game, which is why I'm recommending it. However there is not really enough content to keep me amused for long, its not very challenging. The developers do say its ideal for people who like to design and decorate properties and the game hits the mark on this although a few more items wouldn't go amiss.
Unpolished. Customers and staff often get stuck with pathing issues with no information about what's blocking their way or where, exactly, they're going to (serving a customer... which?). If there's a spill that keeps ending up under some furniture, it throws an error that just says {0} and you have to sort out for yourself that your staff can't reach a spill and where, exactly, it is. Eventually all the housekeepers will group around the unreachable mess, so that helps, I guess. There's no way to mass move furniture to adjust the inn as it grows, you'll have to click the move button then each piece of furniture individually. It becomes an idle game once the number of staff maxes out. All in all: could be decent, but there's problems to solve first.
I came to build an inn. I stayed to watch tiny people live their best lives. Inn Tycoon is a very relaxing management game where you build and run your own tavern. In the beginning, there’s actually quite a bit to think about. You need to decide how to assign employees, which events to choose, and which upgrades to prioritize. As your inn grows, things gradually become more automated, allowing you to focus on expanding and offering more services to your guests. Bedrooms, game rooms, baths, gardens — there’s always something new to add. You also have to deal with changing seasons and constantly balance different stats as they rise and fall over time. It’s genuinely fun to watch your little medieval business grow. As an achievement hunter, I was also happy to unlock all achievements in a single run ^^ My only complaint is the very end of the game. Once everything was fully upgraded, the last few hours became a bit repetitive. I basically spent my time clicking "Okay" every day just to reach the 365-day achievement. Honestly, those final days felt like a real year of my life xD Even so, I still enjoyed sitting back and watching all the little guests run around. If you enjoy…
