Intruder In Antiquonia is a narrative-driven point-and-click adventure developed and published by Aruma Studios. Released in 2022, the game embraces many of the conventions that defined classic adventure titles while adding a modern presentation through its detailed hand-drawn art style and streamlined interface. The story begins with Sarah, a young woman who awakens in a hospital with no memory of who she is or how she arrived in the isolated town of Antiquonia. This seemingly peaceful settlement harbors an unusual trait: its inhabitants have rejected the Internet entirely, creating a setting that immediately stands out among mystery adventures. From the opening moments, the game establishes a sense of curiosity, inviting players to piece together Sarah's forgotten past while uncovering the secrets hidden beneath the town's quaint exterior. The strongest aspect of Intruder In Antiquonia is its atmosphere. Antiquonia feels like a place suspended between eras, where old traditions clash with the technological world beyond its borders. The hand-drawn environments are filled with personality, from cozy interiors to charming streets populated by eccentric residents. Every screen has a…1 found this helpful
> A short but great story. 4 hours casual. 100% achievements. > 7/10 [++] +great music, +nice atmosphere, +good graphics, [--] -no spoken audio, -minimal sound effects, -cliché dialog, -abrupt ending. > A good addition to the modern point and click adventure library.1 found this helpful
not great. somehow this game is simplistic but also too tedious for my taste. almost seems like they ran out of development time to expand the story and give the characters a bit more depth. overall, a bland and generic game. there are way better point-n-click games out there that are free, so only pick this up if you are on a mission to play every point-n-click on the market. i don't mean to be harsh, but i hope this review helps the developer to grow.1 found this helpful
good game
Very short (2 hours playtime) Puzzles quite easy. Characters rather shallow. Average story. Nice graphics. Cozy experience overall. Worth it when its on sale.
So I want to recommend this, I really do. Except there's a glitch at perhaps 3/4 of the way, after the Big Twist, and that prevents the story from progressing. If you cannot interact with the necessary item or the necessary character to progress the story, you cannot finish the game. Which is too bad, because until that point it was a fun little point and click but "you need X item, which you cannot obtain until you have Y item. The internet says to interact with X item to see Y item. Main Character keeps telling you to not, and will not talk to the person the internet says to talk to. Guess we're stuck forever!" I feel like I paid too much for an unfinishable game but it's not the first time.
