Keep close attention to everything from the state of your tyres, the condition of your engine and even the space in your trunk. Repair each aspect of your scrappy little car and install unique upgrades to deal with the changing world. Everything from cargo weight to the condition of your carburettor will determine how your car performs on the open road.
The rise of capitalism brings an economical conundrum. Scavenge for scraps to make a small return of investment, or become a baron of the open road and smuggle contraband under the eyes of border patrols to make a sizable profit.
Developer Greg Pryjmachuk worked on the Formula 1 franchise from 2009 through to 2014. In late 2014, Greg began work on this new driving simulation featuring the fictional Laika 601 Deluxe car; reminiscent of the East German “Trabbie”, it will need much love and care to keep it going on this memorable road trip!

i cannot recommend Jalopy with a clear conscience. This game has it's own very distinct microclimate and is a super cool concept but it's SUPER buggy as well. If you're paying the full price it's totally not worth it maybe for like, 1 euro but dont expect much from it. Also, it's not like i'm some hater too, i love most of the time between rage quits because my camera bugged inside my laika and now i cant do anything except looking at it from 10 meters away

BRILLIANT GAME. "hey whats a gem you found in the trash?" JALOPY IS IF YOU'RE A RACOON LOOKING FOR SOME GOLD THEN GET THIS. by god is it a gem. been watching this game since it first came out. Been playing on and off for years. Cannot recommend it enough. Yeah its buggy, yeah its outdated, yeah its unfinished and feels empty at times. But you'll never not find something to laugh at. Traffic has been broke for years and will do silly ♥♥♥♥ that'll make your bad trip walking to the gas station into fight or flight with a car half sunk into the ground. And yes he will still honk at you. Enjoy terrain generation? oh yes you WILL. ONLY THE BEST TERRAIN COMRADE! probably alot more im missing but in general its a buggy mess that's actually funny as ♥♥♥♥ to play. The mechanics aren't that deep and once things click you'll beat the game like its a dead horse in a family guy skit. 10/10, I recommend this to everyone!
The controller support for this is abysmal. There is no mapping of stick tilt to turn strength, you just turn at full any time you turn. Not sure how something like this is reasonable for a game centered around driving.
"It'd almost be preferable to run out of fuel here..." said Uncle Lütfi... before the ever-reliable Laika 601 Deluxe proceeded to D E T O N A T E on the spot and drop the condition of every single engine component to 0 for no apparent reason. 10/10, I love my Laika
