Some developers spend too much time with unnecessary dialogues and chores before showing the game itself. This one is a very good example. Also, its not the 90's anymore. Dialogues and pop-ups should be skippable or have faster animations. I lost interest even before finishing the tutorial.2 found this helpful
Simply not a good game. I'd go as far as saying it's a bad game. So many very poor game design choices were made that I can't excuse it. 60% of the gameplay is "go there do that" in a poorly designed map that feels alot like a developer not giving a ♥♥♥♥ and trying to pad out the dead space between actual gameplay (i.e go over here, you came? go get me coffee before I talk to you. Get it, oh okay you broke the coffee machine, go to the garage to get the mechanic to fix it, okay now come back, okay now go to your office. Oh, seems like your monitor is gone for the 4th freaking time. go get it from that guy and then... BLAH BLAH BLAH., and if it was annoying to read, imagine what I must've felt like.) the actual gameplay consisting of about 20% gimmicky and frustrating pinball "fights" (which moreoften than not is just mash the paddles until the ball hits the guys) and the remaining 20% is actually pretty good but is severely weighed down by the rest. The pinball sections also have consumable items that you can randomally get and that barely do anything. The story is barebones, not "captivating" as it's described in the game description, but nonsensical and cartoonish but in the wor…
Pinball! And some decision making inbetween. It's not the deepest game ever but I liked it.
This game tells a really hard hitting story, in my opinion. Dont let the pixel art fool you one bit! While the story is great and makes you feel for these characters, it is also a subtle nod to the corruption and abuse of power that exists in legal systems. Unfortunately, I refunded it before seeing this game's full potential. However, I fully intend on repurchasing this game when I get the chance! Justice sure does exist in Karma City, and what better way to tell that story than through the eyes of Karma City Police 's 911 dispatcher?
0/10 it was actually an interesting game but I encountered a game breaking bug early on and I can't progress.
I did not expect to like this game as much as I did. It's goofy, silly, a little wacky but its a fun experience from start to finish and one of those games I wish I could play again with no knowledge of it. Pros - Goofy, silly and wacky - Fun gameplay - Quirky characters - Interesting story Cons - Limited replayability - Might be a little too out there for some people - The 911 calls could have been more of a focus imo - Lots of back and forth fetch quests Overall Rating: 7.5/10
