About This Is the Police
Play as corrupt Police Chief Jack Boyd, managing a crime-ridden city while navigating mob bosses, political schemes, and moral compromise to amass $500,000 before retirement. Your choices determine whether you'll escape with fortune, redemption, or ruin in this story-driven strategy game about systemic corruption and impossible choices.
Manage your staff, respond to emergencies, and investigate crimes in a city on the brink of chaos. The mafia underworld maneuvers behind the scenes, sinking their claws ever deeper into the city, even as the mayor is ready to exploit every situation to his political advantage.
Choose your approach to each situation as it unfolds. Sometimes you’ll be responding to a developing crisis at a crime scene, or negotiating with Freeburg’s crime bosses. Sometimes you’ll find yourself dodging questions in the press room, or even the occasional cross-examination in the witness box. Can you keep this pressure cooker from exploding, at least for long enough to stash away a nice retirement nest egg?
- Your mission is clear: make $500,000 in 180 days, before Jack Boyd reaches retirement. How? That’s up to you!
- Decisions, decisions! This Is the Police is all about a dark story and how you react to it. Whatever you decide, your choices will influence the game – and the fate of Jack Boyd.
- The Good, the Bad, and... the Ugly? The Chief of Freeburg's Police Department deals with all kind of people. It is up to you to find the bad guys, and decide how to deal with them.
- Carry out your duties. As head of Freeburg PD, Jack deals with all sorts of challenges every day: responding to emergencies, managing his officers, defending the department against City Hall and a corrupt mayor, and much more.
- Solve Investigations and gather evidence against the criminal gangs of Freeburg.
- Deal with the competing powers of the city. Everyone offers you favors, and each one comes at a price.
- Rich and fully voiced story: Jack Boyd is portrayed by Jon St. John, the voice of Duke Nukem.

Really boring "game". It's barely a game. Mostly you are watching cutscenes, which are really boring.1 found this helpful
Love this game!
Usually, before I go shaking my tits for the press, I like to go see how the professionals do it.
I had a police officer named Burey, on the first service day he was buried. TITP is among the stars of its genre, up there with LA Noire and Mafia 2 even though it's a strategy police management game, It's a love between jazz and police / detective work, interesting story line of the city's chief police jack. Along with thrilling plot twist of events and decisions you have to make everyday, it's addicting this one, investigations / alliances Gangs / Corps / Even the church has a say here Serial killers? Got plenty, choices? They matter for the most part. It's definitely something fun [H2] 4/5
Overall good game. Story and characters are super good and you are invested in story from minute 1 to the end. Artstyle in game is very unique and stylish, fits the game and themes. Gameplay is interesting in first half of the game but when you reach the second half you start to get bored of same things every time.
Listen it's a great game, the storytelling is immersive and the animations are cool. But so slow that you will be bored halfway down the game. And when you finally push yourself to finish it like I just did, the ending is absolute ♥♥♥♥. All in all, I would recommend playing the game. Just be warned hahaha
