Welcome to Sharpwood, a cold and harsh border town riven with violence, where no one is completely innocent. Smugglers, gangs, and screaming populists call this town their home. To maintain peace and order, the young sheriff Lilly Reed (Sarah Hamilton, The Longest Journey) will have to team up with fugitive criminal Jack Boyd (Jon St. John, Duke Nukem), and pray that her dangerous plan doesn’t spiral out of control.
Your subordinates aren’t just some resource; they are living people with their own strengths, weaknesses, fears and prejudices – and you'll have to reckon with all of them in order to survive. Is one of your guys drinking too much alcohol? Or always coming up with excuses for not coming to work? Or does he refuse to follow orders? You’ll have to show a steady hand if you want to impose discipline on this department.
During your most dangerous operations, the game will switch to turn-based combat. Gather a team of your finest cops (or use your drunk and stupid bums – you don’t always have the luxury of being choosy!). Carefully study the terrain, adapt your plans, stealthily approach your suspects and use non-lethal weapons and equipment – if the situation allows. True, sometimes gunfights are almost impossible to avoid, but be careful: This Is the Police 2 doesn’t have hit points. A single bullet can cost a cop their life.
Collect evidence, study case materials, interrogate suspects (or use more... forceful methods) and send the criminals to court. And if the suspect was innocent? Perhaps it's time to find out if any Sharpwood judges can be bought.

Too many animations to skip through1 found this helpful
Incredible game. Did not expect for the storyline to get as emotional as it did. The strategy sections made me more tense and invested than any other game. Only complaint is the Neckties mission is almost impossible; it made me give up and delete the game back in 2021, before picking it up and finally finishing it in 2026. For that one, all I can rec is being patient, watching a walkthrough, and allowing yourself to take a few tries to beat it, viewing it as the challenge it is. After thoroughly enjoying the first game in the series, this sequel feels like an absolute chore to play through. Mechanics aren't well explained and generally inconsistent, the writing is very dry and lacking, the narrative pacing and cutscenes (which forces an automatic pause if the game isn't the focused window) move at a glacial pace. Over 20 hours into the game and I'm still waiting for anything interesting to actually happen story-wise, and anything to grab my attention the same way that the story did multiple times in the first game. Responding to cases don't feel engaging or impactful, and investigations eventually just turn into tedious busy work, with interrogation questions basically boil down to choosing the 1 correct option out of 3 that doesn't involve insulting the suspect, and if all else fails you just pay for torture and click the same tool 3 times in a row until the suspect breaks. Cop management is also not well thought out. The auto assign items button just randomly throws out items without much logic, so either you click it as it cycles through random assignments until it makes some sense, or you manually assign items, which wouldn't be so annoying if clickin…

Masterfully crafted and ballanced game. Its not as long as my played tines indicate - stopped played while ago and came back whenni got controlled and hooked old laptop to TV The game itself have quite intersting story and pacing is great so when you get comfy, it comes with small twist. Its also challangin in way that you need to keep your attention but dont need notes or fry your brain I really enjoyed this game but it really needs confy chair and controller, didnt want to sit over keyboard and mouse There were few thinks i disliked tho. Mostly kinda railroading - some situations have pre-set outcome evenbif it doesnt look like it You also cant dismiss 'asks for favors' so you either do something what youbdont want to, or it will stay on screen forever Anyway - i recomend this game
