About Kobayashi Clash of Conquest

Kobayashi Clash of Conquest is an isometric base-building and strategy game set in a vibrant fantasy universe, protected by dragons.Starting from a simple plot of land, you must build your village building by building, manage your resources with precision, raise a formidable army, and launch assaults on enemy strongholds: all while fortifying your own lands against retaliation. Inspired by various games, it brings the world of anime to life.

\Clash of Conquest:\Build your village, train your army, and lead your dragons to victory! Clash of Conquest is an isometric strategy game where every decision counts. Develop your city, manage your resources, and crush your enemies under the guidance of Tohru and her companions.⚠️⚠️⚠️ Clash of Conquest is a living project. We regularly add content and fine-tune balancing based on community feedback. (Early Access) ⚠️⚠️⚠️

\🏗️ Build Your Empire\Every great empire starts with a single hut. Plan your urban layout by placing and upgrading 9 unique buildings, each featuring 5 power levels:
  • Town Hall: The beating heart of your city. Upgrade it to unlock advanced infrastructure.
  • Gold Mine & Quarry: Generate the materials necessary for your expansion.
  • Bread Collector: Produce the essential fuel to keep your troops battle-ready.
  • Barracks & Army Camp: Recruit your units and increase the maximum size of your army.
  • Cannon & Mortar: Reliable ground defense and splash damage to devastate waves of attackers.
  • Builder Hut: Optimize your construction time by managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Note: Buildings are constructed in real time: Speed up destiny with gems or let your builders prove their worth.

\⚔️ Train and Deploy Your Army\Victory belongs to those who prepare. Recruit your troops in the Barracks and manage your training queues. Five unit types are at your disposal:
  • ⚔️ Barbarian: Fast melee infantry (1 space).
  • 🏹 Archer: Ranged support unit (1 space).
  • 👹 Giant: Robust tank prioritizing defenses (3 spaces).
  • 🧙 Mage: Powerful area-of-effect spellcaster (4 spaces).
  • 🐉 Dragon: The colossus of the skies with massive HP (10 spaces).
\💎 Economy and Resources\Manage 4 critical resources to sustain your rise:
  • 💰 Gold: For construction and upgrading most structures.
  • 🍞 Bread: For troop training and Barracks evolution.
  • 🪨 Stone: For advanced construction tiers.
  • 💎 Gems: Premium currency to instantly finish your queues.
\🐉 Dragon Advisors\The Attendant, the dragon child, and miss betty guide you through the game with their unique personalities.
The Attendant acts as your lead advisor: she alerts you when your builders are idle, when a construction finishes, or when your army camp is full.

\📈 Progression and Features\
  • XP System: Earn experience for every building placed and every battle won.
  • Campaign Mode: A series of increasingly difficult levels to conquer.
  • Achievements and Rewards: Complete objectives to earn gold and bread.
  • Technical Options: Discord Rich Presence integration, 4K support, auto-save, and customizable themes (Dark, Light, RGB).
Clash of Conquest is an original work. All characters and universe elements are the creation and inspiration of Maître Kobayashi.

I gave this game a fair try and it seems really buggy for a game that isn't in Early Access - the "Skip Tutorial" button stays on the screen even after the tutorial, the sole achievement doesn't seem to be unlockable, portions of the UI overlap each other so you can't see what is underneath them, and chunks of the game (like the Elite Pass section) are untranslated. Your experience progress bar continually resets between 0% and roughly 10%, the Mail button says you have new mail even though you can't access anything in it, the Terms and Privacy buttons take you to the game's untranslated homepage rather than the legal documentation, and a lot of the graphics in the game (such as the tutorial character portraits) seem to be oddly stretched out. I feel like this game could have used another year or so of full time development before entering Early Access to draw better fitting art and work out all of the issues with the code, rather than launching as a finished game with so many bugs.

Really chill game tbh. The mechanics are super easy to get into and it's weirdly addicting trying to upgrade everything. The dev updates it a ton too and the new graphics look sick. Definitely worth a try since it's free. Initially looks like AI but it get's really good later on.. !

Honestly, at first, I was ready to say the game was rushed and purely AI-generated.... But I changed my mind after seeing what went on behind the scenes, when you see the source code made by himself and the 3D models being worked on live, you immediately understand the strategy. The AI is only there to lay the groundwork and serve as placeholders (the foundation for development). Behind what looks like a small project, there's a whole team coming together. Between the professional studio contacted for the music and the graphic artists arriving to refine the 3D, the project takes on a whole new dimension. I saw the review below complaining about the sloppy AI... The creator simply took a bold gamble: not wasting time and using AI to create a solid foundation, then manually improving it to make it something polished and unique. That's much smarter than releasing a soulless, 100% AI-generated game. I'd be ashamed for the developers of these AI-powered games that people sell and praise! And remember, the game is free; there are no in-game purchases, the developer doesn't earn anything! The choice is easy; there's a real engine under the hood. Good luck with the rest of the pro…
