Sengoku Dynasty

It seem great until the seasons change and you realize you have to manually micromanage foraging and farming because there's no way to plan it out by season, a feature Medieval Dynasty has but Sengoku Dynasty lacks. It's so stupid that this feature wasn't in the game at launch, and it will always be a black mark against the developer and the publisher if it never gets patched in. It should have been patched in months ago. This is a feature that worked fine in the first game they know how to do it. There's just no reason for it's removal and the only reason it hasn't been patched in is because of a lack of consideration by the publishers and devs.

Cool game with potential, but horribly optimized. Frame rates drop to 10% randomly every few seconds. Come on devs, you got a pretty good game on your hands, just make it run right.

Honestly, this game isn't bad at all. Set in Sengoku-era Japan, it gives you a pretty interesting look at what life was like during that period. There are quite a lot of things I like about it, especially the huge world to explore and the environments that really capture the feeling of the era. The building system is pretty standard for this kind of game, but it works fine. Bandit raids are also pretty decent, and I really like the job system since it gives you more variety when managing your settlement. The quests are "okay" as well, although some objectives can be REALLY far away, sometimes taking you from one end of the map to the other. It's manageable, but definitely annoying. The biggest problems for me are the stiff combat, sometimes unresponsive character movement, the frustrating NPC management, and the confusing UI. And then there's the performance, which can drop HARD, especially in crowded areas or during fights at bandit camps. 7/10 RECOMMENDED. If you want to experience what life was like during the Sengoku period and see how difficult it was to build a civilization during that time, I'd say give this game a try. great survival crafting game! played for 4 straight hours and didnt even notice, combats fun, with a bit of weapon variety, along with weapon and defense upgrades being noticable, a lot of QoL toggable options, making a gradual town is always fun, soundtrack be bussin

love this game but i can never get very far (hence my 10hr playtime) into it due to adhd, distractions from other games or just skill issue. been a year and a half since i played last so gona give it another go, but i think i need someone experienced to join me in co-op to push through the beginning.
