About Konung 3: Ties of the Dynasty
Konung III is a RPG, based on the Scandinavian and Slavic mythology, the third game in the Konung series (Konung: Legends of the North and Konung 2: Blood of Titans).
The new game brings the player back to the legendary Woodland – the unique and spacious fantasy land that combines parts of known history with classical myths of the Slavs, the Scandinavian and the Byzantine, as well as the legends of the Chronicles, including immortal heroes, magical artifacts and ancient sorcery world.
The Era of Titans, the almighty rulers of the Earth, has ended. Once glorious heroes and great Princes are gone for good. The hour of new heroes has come, when the throne of the Grand Principality became empty. Various valiant warriors and adventurers started their fight for the title, and only the legendary Champion Sword artifact can resolve their face-off.

Konung 3 is the third installment in a niche RPG series based on Byzantine, Slavic, and Viking mythology. The story takes place a long time after Konung 2. The last ruler has died, and the quest to retrieve a magical sword from the Era of Titans determines who becomes the next Konung. The story is pretty barebones, just like in the earlier games. Most of it happens right at the beginning and the end, with the rest of your time spent roaming around and picking up side quests. On top of that, there are typos and the occasional untranslated word, which doesn’t help the already weak writing. Despite being released in 2010, the graphics already feel outdated. While the first two games had an isometric style, Konung 3 moves to 3D, allowing you to rotate and zoom the camera, but the limited resolution makes it difficult to see much at once. Getting around is a pain. The camera’s awkward, the controls feel stiff, and your characters will often get stuck or randomly stop moving. You can try telling NPCs to move if they’re in the way, but it rarely works the way it should. Combat in tight spaces is especially annoying, as half your party often stands idle, unable to reach enemies even if sp…3 found this helpful
Konung 3: Ties of the Dynasty builds upon the foundation of its predecessors by blending classic role-playing mechanics with kingdom management and mythology-inspired storytelling. Set in the mystical Woodland, a land influenced by Slavic, Scandinavian, and Byzantine legends, the game places players in the middle of a power struggle after the legendary Titans have vanished. With the Grand Principality left without a ruler, ambitious heroes seek the fabled Champion Sword, a relic believed to determine the rightful sovereign. This narrative provides a compelling motivation for exploration while immersing players in a fantasy setting that draws from folklore rather than the more familiar medieval fantasy tropes found in many RPGs. The adventure revolves around exploration, character development, and tactical combat, all presented through an old-school isometric perspective. Players travel across villages, forests, and dangerous territories while completing quests, gathering equipment, and strengthening their hero. One of the game's more interesting mechanics is its approach to crafting and customization. Instead of simply replacing old gear with stronger items, players can use magica…
Outdated graphics, but a great Slavic cRPG, nonetheless.
5 stars! Amazing
i dont play it much i bougth it because i played it when i was alot younger,if your looking for any game to play and you dont realy have alot of money to go around , if you have an older computer that you maybe found in your uncles garage,a scrapyard pc ,or a low end laptop, this is a game that you can play and somewhat enjoy depending on your prefrence,it is next to free and has non of the preditory tactics of actual free to play game such as mobile games(candy crush) in summary: almost free,no hidden costs, will run on a smart toaster ,its maybe fun.
This is from the perspective of someone who has not played K1&2, and started from 3. I cannot recommend this - occasional mistranslation, confusing quests and overall clunky experience.
