About King's Bounty: Warriors of the North
Lead Viking warrior Olaf and his Valkyrie companions across a frozen, hand-crafted world to stop an undead invasion in this deep turn-based tactical RPG. The new Rune Magic system and enhanced Rage mechanics add strategic layers that reward careful positioning and preparation as enemies grow increasingly deadly.
What begins as a local conflict soon turns into a full-scale campaign across the northern reaches of Endoria. You must liberate the land of Nordig, travel between icy islands, ancient strongholds, and war-torn territories, and carefully prepare your army for increasingly dangerous encounters.Exploration takes place in real time across a large hand-crafted world, while battles unfold in deep, turn-based tactical combat. Positioning, morale, unit synergy, and preparation are critical, as enemies grow stronger and mistakes become harder to recover from.Warriors of the North expands the tactical core of the series with Rune Magic, a new system that allows units to expend runes for powerful temporary bonuses in battle. These effects can turn the tide of combat when used at the right moment, adding a new layer of strategic decision-making.
Olaf is not alone in his campaign. He is aided by five Valkyries, powerful companions who grant unique bonuses and abilities. Choosing how to rely on their strengths becomes an important part of long-term strategy, both on the battlefield and throughout progression. The northern setting introduces new Viking-inspired units such as Berserkers and Skalds, enhanced Rage mechanics, and a campaign built around constant escalation. With its darker tone, expanded systems, and distinct identity, King’s Bounty: Warriors of the North delivers a deeper and more demanding tactical experience that builds on the legacy of The Legend while offering a fresh strategic focus.

Interesting mix of a shallow crpg and HoMM styled combat. Plot is not really interesting, some of the dialogues and side missions are actually funny, plenty of different items and various units, there are three skill trees (every class get two unique skills), I would say there are numerous usefull skills with one exception some of them (mostly rage based) get locked during boss fights, which isn't communicated before, so we might end up surprised, when we really need them. I really enjoyed it, except for the last few hours, when it was unnecessarily filled with trash fights and fetch quests, granting useless rewards, also plotwise they that didn't bring anything really meaningful, so felt like wasted time.2 found this helpful

Has to be the best King's Bounty. Finishing the timeline, probably the best and most engaging early game and difficulty its just perfect.
At last..100% Achievement..Thank You
100+ hr campaign Deeper than most RPGs out there. So many locations, units, items, spells, etc Neat story infused with Viking history-stuffs Auto-battle mode is fun, but Manual-battle is great too(and less loss of units) I can't explain just how amazing this game is; it vastly exceeded all expectations for a game I've never heard of and that was low cost (and with sales, it's a crazy deal!). If you enjoy gaming, RPG gaming, fun gaming, budget gaming, deep-long campaign gaming, with unit variety, many characters and fun writing + tons of units, many locations/hidden locations/then more locations – ... then DON'T SKIP this game! **It's an underrated, under-talked-about banger of a game.** Some small bugs, sure, but they're wholly outweighed by the fun, depth, and gameplay. Look online for some camera mods and config mods. One important tip that I ran across is that there's a need to run the game in admin mode, or else late-game saves could bug. YMMV, but do a Google search and check that out. All in all, the best game I've never heard of that ended up being an awesome RPG, a deep experience, and kept surprising me with its characters, writing, and more.
