About SpellForce 3 Soul Harvest
Lead a disgraced general through a dark campaign spanning 20 hours as you command five distinct factions across a reworked sector-based RTS battlefield to stop a soul-harvesting cult and a hateful warlord from destroying the realm. This standalone expansion blends real-time strategy with deep hero customization and flying unit tactics, letting you build unique armies with faction-specific mechanics and playstyles in both rich single-player storytelling and competitive multiplayer.
However, things aren’t as peaceful as they seem – when the Queen calls you, a disgraced General, back to your homeland, you’re plunged in a war on many fronts: While a hatemonger threatens to tear apart the Dwarven realm, an enigmatic cult of Dark Elves harvests the souls of people for reasons unknown.

Best RTS/RPG hybrid by far.
The levels are even more beautiful and show a real learning on the part of the designers, legitimately reminded of some of the better custom maps on Warcraft 3, the music remains excellent. The abilities have been refined from the first campaign and there's not many other games that have scratched that summoner/necromancer itch quite like Soul Harvest has. The new factions are gorgeous and fun to play, the music that returns is still excellent and the new tracks have firmly lodged themselves in my head as well. I'm not even sure what the hell that story even was. The previous entry already felt like bad fanfiction, but this one just confused me. Per usual it absolutely mangles everything pre-established, which is a disturbingly persistant trend in modern adaptations of older media, unfortunately.
Great DLC. Story is great. maps. gameplay and builds.
pretty solid. shorter than the base game, has more extra quests / optionals and a more slow buildup compared to the sometimes rushed RTS parts of the first game, here you have a bit time to learn the races instead. RPG part good, but on that end the base game isn't bad either. 8/10
