About Kyo's Routine
Kyo's Routine is a routine simulator , in this game you will control Kyo and work every day living a boring routine, but all this is for a good cause, it’s to save your girlfriend Mari, who is in hospital. You can start on a job, and get promoted to earn more money, and invest to earn even more. Don't forget to take care of yourself, buy food, sleep regularly, and avoid drinking too much energy drink. Your goal is to get 20,000 to pay for Mari's surgery ,and look for a certain someone who is selling a wedding ring. In addition to conventional work, there are other ways to make money, such as fishing, deep sea fishing and also making money playing video games.

Kyo's Routine seems to be somewhat of a joke game, it's a simple NW.js built 2D retro pixel "adventure" time management game where you need to earn 20,000 moneys by holding down a job to look after your girlfriend and so you can propose to her. Gameplay is intentionally boring as you must juggle your finances, keep your stats up (money, energy which is gained by eating food etc), and of course work a boring job. Gameplay takes the form of negotiating simple 2D retro pixel side view rooms and interacting with the objects in those rooms like the fridge and so on. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a res…5 found this helpful
This game seemed like nothing much at first but proved to be a robust resource management game with a heartwarming message and existential undertones. Sure, it was rough around the edges and could have used more variation in the mini-games. The ones where you just sit and watch your guy perform an activity did prove thought provoking at first as it lead me to contemplate my life through the lens of capitalist exploitation, they started to feel a little bland after a while. The graphics were cool but the ui was pretty ass. Overall i recommend for anyone wanting a slightly different indie exp.3 found this helpful

At first, this game didn’t seem like much, but it turned out to be a surprisingly robust resource management experience with a heartwarming message and existential undertones. While it’s a bit rough around the edges, and the mini-games could use more variety, the thought-provoking moments—especially when watching my character go through repetitive tasks—made me reflect on life and capitalist exploitation. Unfortunately, that novelty wore off after a while. The graphics are cool, but the UI is pretty rough. Despite that, I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a slightly different indie experience!
