[h1]Labrinths like QR codes[/h1] Nice little labrinth generator. You have to solve 100 mazes to get the 1 achievement. It can be that mazes get repetive. Just missing an AI that is solving me all the labrinth for that.

Lab.Gen. is more of a tech demo to show off an algorithm for generating 2D mazes than an actual game. The only thing that makes this a game is you can navigate the mazes (whee). So basically this is competing with the puzzle section at the back of the newspaper, possibly one of the worst business plans imaginable. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. Given you can play better maze games for free online, and there's even 3D maze games for free on Steam, it's impossible to recommend anyone should pay money for this tech demo.

A great game for quick plays, to play in the background, or to entertain a younger child.

Lab.gen is a procedurally generated top down labyrinth game available on steam for $1.99. The developers of the game, Grow Fall, also have a decently sized lineup of top-down games including Supesu, Snake, Snake, Snake!, and Bit Bullet all of which are available on Steam. They also have an upcoming escape room type game called Inner Riddle that looks really cool so far. Now back to the game at hand. As mentioned before, Lab.gen is a procedurally generated top down maze game. Procedural generation means that the level is made right before you start playing it through the use of an algorithm. This ensures that not all levels are exactly the same which is great in that it means that levels will never get stale. It’s really cool too because you are able to watch (or choose not to) the algorithm work as it’s generating the level which provides a very relaxing aesthetic. The movement and audio go hand in hand nicely throughout. The music in the game, which you can currently hear in the background pairs so well with the calm game play and fluid movements. The game locks up and crashes very 2 or 3 mazes. It even freezes and crashes when selecting playing options.

A pretty simple maze generator. It makes mazes that you can then complete. Seems rather varied, and if you like mazes this isn't bad.
