I could only stand so many minutes before I knew this wasn't going anywhere fun. Level design is bland and inconsistent; you can only shoot straight ahead and so far, meanwhile some enemy missiles can track you the entire map; platforming is like Chicken Horse, only more obnoxious (if it's not like that, then there's long stretches of boring running); sound is about as boring as the environment; many enemies just sit there waiting listlessly; plus this feels like the lame version of retro Metroid.

I'd like to give it a no review because i got stuck in the second level of the jungle map and fall out of bounds. Needs some polish to be a good game. But it has something going at least. BTW: INSTANT DEATH SPIKES WILL BE TRASH IN THE 80's AND IN 2025!

Pros: if you have a autoclicker, you get a machine gun, or even a laser beam of death strapped to your arm Cons: the art style is basic and inconsistant at times unfair level design+ art, you rarely know what to do or where to go (though that is a given because the game is literally called "labyrinth trials") but there is a hazard that one shots you, and it has no warning at all for so, and even after i learned this, i fell down a pit and right onto one, without being able to see whats there, do not recommend at this point in the game (hopefdully devs fix this, just not the machine gun glitch)

The developer finished a compilation of beginner unity tutorials and decided to test out steam's upload feature. You have to start somewhere in order to make a game, but I would suggest not uploading your completed tutorials on steam. Even the example clips uploaded steam show you how you shouldn't play, running right into the monsters and such. This is by no means a review to say stop making games, please keep experimenting and have fun, AAA games will have worse reviews than this game is ever going to get.

Steam is drowning in thousands of lazy, low-effort 2D platformers, and "labyrinth Trials" is yet another one. I'm not kidding, there's over 17,000 platformers on Steam, almost all of them are garbage, amateur kitbashes. This is not one of the good ones. This one is an obvious ripoff of Metroid kitbashed out of Unity with a bunch of "borrowed" pixelcrap art assets, making this a low key asset flip. There's a focus on speedrunning, but it's best to take this as Metroid but so much worse in every respect that not even Temu would try to sell it. Platforming is an old, mostly dead genre, and this lacklustre experience, while it doesn't have an upfront cost, isn't saving the genre... it's no surprise this failed to capture any attention from gamers in the era of immersive 3D gaming. This looks a lot like it was designed for consoles, but released on Steam instead by mistake. While this is on PC, it has all the hallmarks and deficiencies of a console game, from the clunkier than needed control scheme to the less than cutting edge graphics. There's 10's of thousands of PC games on Steam, and PC gamers deserve only the best. This might not appeal to many gamers due to the lack of PC…

Me likey shooter game. It felt satisfying beating the game and tight platforming. Spikes are a pain but other than that gud game. 10/10
