Legend (1994) is a retro fantasy beat 'em up developed by Arcade Zone and published on Steam by Piko Interactive LLC in collaboration with Bleem!. Originally released during the golden age of side-scrolling action games, it returns through Steam as a faithful preservation of the original experience. Instead of following the familiar urban crime setting popularized by many of its contemporaries, Legend embraces a medieval fantasy world filled with enchanted forests, imposing castles, dangerous caverns, and mythical adversaries. The story centers on the kingdom of Sellech, where the evil sorcerer Beldor the Maleficent once ruled through fear before his spirit was sealed away. The description reads, "Legend is a Beat'em up game that resembles games like Final Fight, or Streets of Rage. The game features a medieval setting." Bruh, just say it's like Golden Axe or Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom. Although, compared to those, this isn't as good. Controls are clunky, gameplay is not fluid, and at least with this version, the control mapping is awful. But... it's still fun enough to recommend, if these type of games are your thing.
A fantasy Beat em Up game in Good Final Fight Style... *Sigh*... They don´t do games like that anymore. Well. Arcade Zone did. And it´s a great game with SNES Graphic and Sound. (It´s actually a real SNES Rom with an embedded emulator.) And it´s fun. I gladly recommend it. Games like these are even more fun when being playerd together with a friend.
Ah.. The classic SNES game. It's a clunky beat 'em up with some catchy tunes, but overall without the use of a game genie or cheats I found the difficulty to be unforgiving. It's alright if you just can't get enough beat 'em ups and aren't too concerned with quality.
