About Limouzik
Limouzik is a software that transform your computer into a music instrument and makes you a musician.
Limouzik is based on classical harmony and the relationship between chords of the same key (used in the famous 4 chords songs). Depending on the selected chord, the algorithm continuously recalculates the pitch of the notes of the other keys in order to always play correctly.
The philosophy behind Limouzik is to make music creation accessible to as many people as possible. Without solfeggio or training, Limouzik allows to reproduce, as with a piano or a guitar, classical, folk, popular and variety.
By grouping on the same key a complete chord of three notes, constantly recalculated by the algorithm, the user becomes almost instantly an instrumentalist able to play music as varied as Beethoven or the Beatles...

This Limouzik program appears abandoned. Neither the limouzik[.]com nor limouzik[.]live websites work. This is the full program but it starts up in one of the game modes, click the gear icon and then the home (house) icon to get to the main menu. The program works but if you already have the musical knowledge to figure it out (taking into account the poor documentation) then this program is too basic for you... There is a YouTube channel but the last posting was over four years ago: https://www.youtube.com/@Limouzik/videos10 found this helpful
Early Access review... Honestly it shows promise. Although..... it is rough. For someone more musically inclined it is definitely worth it's 90% sale price; I bought a copy for a friend. The interface is the first thing that I found a little obtuse. I also found that the blinking of the cursor in tutorial (or follow along?) was too quick on my PC even putting it at the lowest setting (Ryzen9 64GBddr5 4070) With some work this could develop into a fun musical game or a great tool for digital music. As of April '25 it is still raw but the 90% discount got me, so positive in my experience for now.8 found this helpful
Dear developers and publishers! Your product has a great potential, and it may solve my own problem, but you need to improve some existing features. Pros are underlined, cons are in italic bold. 1. I can speak English, French, Spanish and Russian, and sometimes I enjoy changing the language within the game. Therefore, the ability to change the language in the settings is very good. However, when I tried to change it in Limouzik, I discovered that only the French version fits the content. For example, Instruments in French is Tracks Manager in English, and I understood that the content meant you could assign different instruments to the keyboard only because I have a synthesizer and I am curious enough to click everywhere. Configurations Générales in French is Musical Options in English, while should be General Settings. In Russian, part of the menu is displayed as squares instead of cyrillic letters, so you should probably check your fonts and coding. Maybe you have got some bad reviews below, because people who could not speak French just could not find and understand these settings due to poor translation. 2. When you open…5 found this helpful
Although it's kinda fun, there are times where the keys all go crazy. Needs more work.1 found this helpful
Limouzik, developed by Limouzik SAS and published by Plug In Digital, is an ambitious music creation application designed to make composing and performing music accessible to users of all skill levels. Unlike traditional music software that often requires extensive knowledge of theory or technical proficiency, Limouzik simplifies the process by leveraging principles of harmony and chord relationships. The program allows anyone to play musically coherent pieces in real-time, transforming a standard computer into a versatile instrument capable of producing a variety of styles, including classical, folk, and popular music. At the heart of Limouzik is its intelligent algorithm, which automatically recalculates note pitches based on the chosen chords, ensuring that every sound remains harmonious. This real-time adjustment allows users to experiment with melodies and accompaniments without worrying about dissonance, making it particularly appealing to beginners or those without formal musical training. By simulating the experience of playing instruments like a piano or guitar, the software provides an intuitive platform for musical expression, letting users focus on creativity rather th…
I can't find the settings page. It is stuck in demo mode. I can't access other features. I was excited to look around more than play demo songs.
