About Little Wolf

Little Wolf

Come on an adventure with Ulf, a little wolf. Play as Ulf to find his missing pack members as well as many other creatures who once lived in the world of Halwend.
Little Wolf is a game for anyone to play and enjoy! This is a CASUAL ADVENTURE game. It is both an exploration game and collection game.

Gameplay

When controlling Ulf, you'll play in 3rd person view. You will be able to collect pack members as well as many different types of creatures. Something has brought the animals to other worlds from Halwend. Our hero, Ulf, will need to be smart to collect some of the creatures as they may be out of reach without help. Some will be easier than others and some will be very difficult.
You will need to explore the 6 locations to find animals, items and see the amazing scenery.

Landscape

Explore a ranch landscape, filled with things to discover. Find your missing pack members among the buildings, cars, containers and portals.
Later you will get to explore the forest of Halwend, its lakes, ruins, nature, rolling fields of grass and township.
Currently there are 6 locations, there will be more added as time goes on.

Features

Little Wolf features, AI, physics, beautiful scenery and if a human touches you...back to the start you go! Explore Halwend, the ranch and many other landscapes which Ulf has never seen before.

While the game does not feature combat extensively, there will be some fights.
Little Wolf will also have DLC after release.

This game had a lot of promise, and I was pretty excited to play it at first... but after playing it I couldn't even stand to continue for more than an hour. PROS: Gorgeous music. The background audio is lovely and I could listen to it all day Texture and Lighting. The textures are charmingly polygon with slanted sunlight reminiscent of dusk on an autumn day. CONS: The Camera angles. They made me extraordinarily nauseous. They either turn too sharply or not enough, and this comined with Wonky controls (combined with above) do not make the game enjoyable to play. turning my character around was a pain in the butt to pick up simple objects. Impossible to tell what you can interact with. - because of the gorgeous shading on the entire world, it is actually quite hard to tell if there are any objects at all outside of the ball in the tutorial that you can interact with. Story??! The game developers claim this is a game with a story... but the cutscenes or whatever is supposed to set the story must have been skipped for me because the game immediately opened and dropped me into some... farm? where there were hundreds of crystal things floating about... and.. thats it. I have no id…

Worst game, featuring wolves, that I've ever played. The whole game feels like a kid, without any gamedesign knowledge, copy pasted some stuff from presets to this state of art. There isn't even a menu or settings. The controls are bad and lack of keyboard ones and you cannot even safe the game.

I love wolves and when I say this I really mean it, but I cannot recommend this game even though it has so much potential that it breaks my heart. After spending one hour and a half exploring the first area, I decided to proceed to the second one. Since I had to leave and there is no manual save, I hoped that the game autosaves at certain times (at least to access each new area we unlock after using the portals). Guess what? Tough luck, it doesn't. So now if I want to continue, I need to replay the whole first area again. It feels just like playing old school cartridge games on the consoles and you start from level 1 every time. As written in the description that there are 6 areas and there are plans for more, I don't know if starting the game from scratch might be the best solution. The game is indeed relaxing when everything runs as expected, though I encountered many times when the camera controls were beyond hope or the FPS dropped significantly when the game was barely playable or I literally fell through the floor and started swimming around the map underground. Overall, I like exploring as much as I can, but this game doesn't give me the luxury to do this since all of my pro…
