At the time of writing, this is the best of this town-type idle game on Steam. If you're debating between this, Crusaders Quest: Hero Town, or that other one I can't remember right now.. this is the one to get. It has the most content and has the most to manage when you finally sit down to take care of (rehome and sacrifice) your little dudes, especially now with the expedition and equipment update. Couldn't recommend Loafing Town enough.1 found this helpful
Developer note: You really need to make it MUCH easier to move heroes between houses. It's such a pain in the ass currently, and you've got a fundamental game mechanic that requires you to organize your heroes into specific kinds of houses depending on their class/role. Right now, you kick some hero out of a house, and INSTANTLY some other hero jumps in and takes their place, never giving you a chance to find and move the intended hero in. This pain point needs to be dealt with because it is frustrating. Otherwise, not a bad second screen game. I let it play, hidden, in the background while I work, then check in here and there to make a few decisions, then back to work.
What I enjoyed: trying to unlock the new classes. Sadly this occurs only at the beginning of the game, and then there is a huge wall of waiting until you can start unlocking the 2nd batch. The experience started poor and did not improve much: - game launched on the wrong monitor (not the primary one as defined in OS level) and would never permanently save the correct monitor no matter how many times I changed it in the game settings. relaunch always put it on wrong monitor again. - although advertised as being at the bottom of your screen only, the black desktop bug ruined that until i went in my OS to disable the fullscreen enhancements or whatever the setting was called, thanks to other players' helpful reviews. - the auto-summon toggle (on monsters page) is either inconsistent with the other toggles in the game, is broken, or is so unintuitive i didn't figure it out. enabling it results in the game no longer dropping monsters AND it also doesn't spend your manual drop count. AND stops increasing/generating the manual drop count. i would have expected that enabling it starts spending the manual drop count on top of continuing to drop the monsters it was already doing…
This idler is very cute ♥ I really like all the subtle animations I also super appreciate the "off/on" sun/moon icon to fully hide the game, especially when "always on top"! More idler games need this feature !!
Great game for idling, but lost my save after abnormal computer shutdown and even using the back up didn't return it. Don't feel like starting a new save. Off I go.
Great idle game and the developer does some great updates. Def something to play in the background. No complaints so far!
