Logica Emotica is an inventive puzzle game that demonstrates how a simple concept can evolve into a surprisingly engaging mental workout. Developed and published by Bart Bonte, the game revolves around solving a series of logic-based challenges using expressive emoji instead of traditional symbols or lengthy explanations. Rather than overwhelming players with tutorials or complex interfaces, it embraces a minimalist philosophy where experimentation and careful observation are the keys to success. From the opening stages, it becomes apparent that the game values the player's ability to think independently, making every solved puzzle feel like a genuine accomplishment instead of the result of following instructions. The campaign consists of fifty handcrafted levels, with each one introducing a fresh logical idea instead of merely increasing the difficulty of previous mechanics. Every puzzle has its own rules to uncover, encouraging players to examine visual clues, test different possibilities, and gradually understand the hidden objective. This constant stream of new concepts prevents the experience from becoming repetitive, as each completed stage opens the door to another unique c…1 found this helpful
Great game from Bart Bonte again! Some levels were way more difficult than others, and in the end I had to google a guide for some of them. I timed myself so that if I got stuck for too long, I would use a guide. I recommend this method, so you can enjoy them all without getting frustrated. I would always redo the puzzle after looking at the guide, so I learned what moves were meant to be used. Worth the money in my opinion. Some of his work is free on Steam or online, so I definitely recommend checking them out if you aren't sure about buying yet. Personally I played his free works first, and decided that I loved them enough to buy the rest. Apparently he has also released his most popular games for mobile with plenty more levels. I will be checking those out too! There is a bug: when you get stuck in a level the movable items start to shift around and it gets difficult to follow after a while. I recommend just to resetting the level if you get stuck and notice this happening. Most puzzles only need less than 20 moves, so getting stuck means that you should start again.1 found this helpful
It's a typical Bart Bonte game, though not his best. This one has a lot of coordination puzzles where all items move at the same time, and you need to get them all on the correct spot, which I've always found particularly frustrating. The other puzzle types are pretty fun. The game should only take you a few hours, but its dirt cheap, especially when on sale.
The emoji game
Nostalgic and very fun. 10 out of 10!
Pretty good little game! It's fun to reach each level and figure out what the gimmick for that level is. Some later levels get a bit frustrating and can take a while, but a fun time overall!
