Lonely Path

[b]lonely path[/b] is a tranquil number game set in a garden, a bit like solitaire, freecell more than anything. a supposedly helpful bee tries to ease you into things by telling you to click stuff (this ain't a lazy tapping mobile port). the goal is to move everything out of the way and create a clear but not necessarily straight path from bottom to top. not everything is beexplained in detail, so beetorial aside, it took me a while to grasp what's what. tiles can only be moved where the path is clear, can't jump over others. some start face down, can also only be turned up if the path is clear to them. you can stack cards on top of each other, again as long as the path is clear between them, unless their marking and color (pink) says otherwise. those can only go on top of others, can't put anything on them. arrows and more colors indicate what you can put where, so a 4 with a down arrow (blue) means 3 and only 3 fits (one less than 4), 1 with an up arrow (red) means you can only put 2 there (one more than 1). up-down-up works, of course, like in solitaire, the equal sign (green) is self-explanatory. Pretty, nice soundtrack, calm. Ramps up fairly smoothly (but I could nitpick some). Gets quite involved and convoluted, so you need patience. Can recommend, but if you're achievement hunting it's going to be quite hard work to 100%, I think (I didn't even try). Flip, move, stack and place tiles to open up a clear path from starting line to final gate. 100 levels in 5 themed level chapters: Meadow, wetlands, forest etc. The tile types, board square types and open- and lock-buttons get more and more complex as you progress through the levels. Many entail [b]a lot[/b] of shifting tiles around and moving tiles in and out of stacks, shifting stacks, restacking in different order etc. Towards the end it got a bit too convoluted and timeconsuming for my patience and brains, but the first 80 were pretty good for the most part and fun. Enjoyed it ! You get points for solving each level, and more points for solving better (fewer moves). Very pretty, nice colours and plants and flowers, and little bugs and butterflies and such (yes and some teensy spiders too!) The soundtrack I really liked, especially the first part with ambient birdsong and bird chattering ;-) It doesn't have SKIP, but …

A nice cozy lil game to keep you occupied (and sometimes humbled lol). The puzzles are pretty straight forward while still keeping you thinking, with plenty I had to come back to later as they took a bit of thinking outside of the box (I really like that there's an option to go to the next level even if you don't complete the puzzle...). Overall a lovely experience, the music is super calming which is perfect for a puzzle game, and I can imagine myself coming back to this at a later date to finish off the one's I was too smooth to complete :D Would for sure recommend, felt really nice playing this all bundled up with my steam deck :)

Great relaxing puzzle game to clam the mind before bed. It plays well enough on the steam deck, though moving the tiles around can get a bit tedious in later levels. It was honestly was more engaging than I initially expected. The difficulty for me came when you would permanently change tile numbers, and have to do so in a certain order.

really cool lil puzzle game!! simple enough to get through levels if you're not trying to get max points, fun accumulation of rules and mechanics over time, and given that i keep forgetting how i did what i just did i am definitely gonna be able to play it multiple times getting max points though. devious little sucker. or i'm bad at this (possible)

Zen little puzzle game based around a simple tile-piling mechanic, which gets tweaked with new additions as the game progresses. The art is pretty, and the way the path lights up at the end of a level is satisfying.
