LOVE has incredible potential, but its vagueness undermines the storytelling.
The concept immediately caught my attention and made me eager to play, but it didn’t take long to realize the execution was off. While the game offers a unique premise, it falls short in delivering a cohesive experience. The core mechanic—manipulating scenes to reveal outcomes in relationships, past and present—is simple but leaves too much room for ambiguity. This is where the game stumbles. Some scenarios feel disjointed or unclear. For instance, you’re shown an image of a teen with a plane labeled “PAST” and then expected to deduce that a man with a woman in the same room represents the “PRESENT.” I understand what the game is trying to convey, but it feels too abstract and lacks the emotional depth it aims for. There’s so much potential for richer storytelling. The game could have explored how relationships evolve, perhaps through narration or a series of more tangible, connected scenes. Anything to help the player feel more invested in the stories unfolding would have made the experience more memorable. This vagueness also affects gameplay. Boring puzzle's that don't follow any logical paths. The stories themselves are boring and surface level.2 found this helpful
It's rather frustrating to have to click a dozen times in order to take a damn picture to proceed the game. Really takes you out of the immersion!
If you want to buff up your fingers, this is the perfect place for you. My mouse fingers are now disproportionate to the other fingers thanks to the funky controls. Seriously. There is a part where you enter a pin to access a character's computer, The buttons themselves didn't do anything however, the areas between the big squares, where certain pixels are, gave me the numbers I wanted. Very annoying. Maybe it is just me but, I am unable to follow along with the story, so I click on things and I somehow still complete the puzzles. Take that that how wish. The concept is kinda cute though. Thumbs up for the massive pointer finger.
Really obtuse puzzle solving, unresponsive controls (for a point and click game, that's actually almost impressive), unskippable credits and overall meh story. Plus, the final achievement never unlocked for some reason. Definitely did not LOVE this one.
