Absolutely fantastic. Every mode is fun as heck, even the ones that are supposed to be annoying and "unfair". Level design tops the other games in the franchise, making even the most tricky parts of the levels consistent and satisfying to beat with clever movement and timing.5 found this helpful

masterpiece of fps game design. so much variety... so much banging my head against insanely difficult levels I never thought I'd complete. so satisfying to finally get through. the game just keeps going... wow2 found this helpful

Maybe I don't understand the menu but there seems to be very few actual courses. And it lists my progress as 0% for modes that I've played every stage in. This would've been cool but there isn't much here. Additionally, I find I miss jumps specifically in this Lovely Planet all the time. I'm guessing the old games gave you a bit of leeway as you walk off an edge to jump just afterwards. But this one it's the moment the game feels like you're going downward you can't jump. Which also means just sometimes on flat ground jumping doesn't work. Overall its frustrating and lacks fleshed out course selection. Just play the original really.
