Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness

This game made me feel things; like I now know what its like to jump on a pineapple without my pants on, over and over again, until I somehow figure out how to fit the whole thing inside me and my only reward is to do it again but with a giant starving porcupine strapped to my balls. This game is torture and your only reward is more torture.

Binary Star is surprisingly good for an anime tie-in game and I recommend it but the biggest issue is probably that people play Hello Abyss instead of Deep Abyss first. Hello Abyss is primarily a recap of the first half of season 1 of the anime, this mode will suddenly end on layer 2 after the 10 day survival training. Doing anything other than buying salt, collecting some meat, and doing the objective is pointless, don't waste your time exploring, analyzing creatures, or doing anything else here. Deep Abyss is where the game actually takes place, you'll be exploring the 5 layers of the abyss as you try to survive, crafting gear, looking for relics, fighting creatures, suffering on layer 3, and trying to become a White Whistle (which you'll blaze through all while Nat and Shiggy slack off on becoming Blues, they should probably give up). It's kind of a shame thinking what the game would have been like if the devs focused on the game instead of adding the recap segment. Tip: Bring a gun with you to layer 3.

one of the worse experiences ive ever had 100%ing a game let alone playing it and ive 100%'d ff7 rebirth this game is NOT worth the full price by any means low quality cutscenes, garbage quests and sidequests, poor level design, poor game design, poor game mechanics, poor everything buy it when it's on a deep discount not even worth half the initial asking price a $10 game at BEST (it was discounted at $8 by the time i bought it but if im being even more brutally honest it's worth $5 at it's peak)

this game is by no means easy, some of the enemies have ridiculous health pools and spawn rates. but over all once you grasp the mechanics of the lower layers a few times and nail down your inventory management its a fun game for a few hours. the story mode featuring Reg and Riko is okay but the main crux of the game is better than the little story/tutorial mode. i recommend this for folks who like a good amount of grinding or those who like to play for a month or so before dropping off the face of the earth for a few months. overall i give it about a 5/10, because some of the dodging mechanics are utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sometimes. no issues going from keyboard to Xbox controller which is what i prefer to use.
