Pros: - Pop culture references like Harry Potter, Coco, Doctor Strange, and Frozen 2 - Your main group of friends particularly Aidan and another side character named Perry - Filipino Martial Arts reference - Huge potential - Politics Cons: - Story is inconsistent - Choices are too monotonous and stereotypical - Failed to maximize the story's potential - Lack of impact of the choices you choose - Politics The rest are self explanatory so I'll just focus on why I added politics as both of this game's pro and con. Politics in a magical world fascinates me because it's interesting to see how different it'd be compared to the real world. And more often than not, you'll see that even with magic and supernatural themes, the main issues are still there. Now, the game was able to introduce it nicely. I love the debate about it... at the beginning. Then it gets tiring. Fast. To the point where I had to stop myself from groaning when I see another reference to the politics of this game. It reminds me of Final Fantasy X-2 in this aspect. I give plus points to both for being able to introduce politics in their world in a great way but at the same time, minus points because along th…

7/10 If you like these types of choose your own adventure games/ visual novels, you'll probably like this one. There are pros and cons to it for sure. Pros +Inclusive language and dating options! +LGBTQ+ characters +Lots of options and endings +Plot twists galore, some predictable, others actually surprised me Cons -Story is not so much about the school as it is about the world and the role that magic plays in it. While this is awesome, if they wanted to take this approach they should have 1. Advertised it in a different way. and 2. Spent more time world building. It's confusing to focus the plot on a world we know close to nothing about. -Not very emotional in emotional scenes. I'm not sure why, this may be a me thing. I feel as though there is not enough time spent with characters, and so when an emotional moment comes up, it feels really awkward. All of that being said, I think this is a decent read/ play if it sounds interesting to you. I definitely think it is intended for younger audiences (young teens to young adults) but if you're not looking for a particularly challenging read, I think adults (myself included) will get a nice relaxing experience out of this.

I have played this through a few times, swapping genders and never playing the same path twice. So I think this game has excellent replay value.

First time I decided to do a review for a CoG game without actually finishing it. Mainly because the characters are all just some kind of awful. So many are just presented as nothing more than a handful of buzzwords with no exploration into their character beyond that. It just left me with a supporting cast that I had 0 interest in, a first for me when it comes to a CoG game as usually, even if I find most of the characters dull, there's at least a few I enjoy.
