Mamashroom is currently going through a complete overhaul process - being rebuilt from the ground up. This will include unlockable powers, new dialogue, a completely new set of levels, and much much more. Please bear with me whilst I do this, I feel the end product will be something really special, aiming for a late 2025 release of V2.MamaShroom is an exciting adventure-filled 2D platformer set across a variety of different lands, each rendered in beautiful pixel art. Embarking alongside Mama, you will help her reunite with her children across 40 levels in a game that will surely delight any cottagecore lover. Your quest will be fraught with danger, but we know you will be the perfect quest companion. We can’t wait for you to come along!

You can use most types of controller but we advise using either Xbox or PlayStation as these have been specifically programmed in. You can also use a keyboard!
The menu is controlled using the arrow keys on the keyboard or the directional buttons/analog stick on a controller!

This is a good indie platformer. When you screw up, it is not so much a matter of that was a cheap shot but YOU made the mistake. :)3 found this helpful
This is a fun platformer. The dialog is charming and whity. The developer is still adding the Hell mode, but as someone who's completed Hallow Knight and Celeste, normal mode was a challenge itself and if you really want a challenge, each level has 5 items which can be tricky to get. 10/10 would recommend.3 found this helpful

**Update** I do want to start this review by saying the Developer cares deeply about making this a game that's enjoyable and accessible, so if you enjoy this genre and style of game and want to support a Developer who cares and will continue to improve the title, then this is a good one ❤️ I'm not a platformer person to begin with and I wish I could select "neutral" as a review option because I gave up at level 7 due to my own inability to complete Normal mode and my refusal to settle for "cosy" mode due to it telling me I'd have to completely restart. **UPDATE** A multi-save option that would make it so you don't have to restart on the difficulty is in the works, so yay for that! If you love frustrating platformers that will hand you achievements like "100 deaths" and dozens of quirky mushroom characters that all concern me to varying degrees, then yeah you might like this one. Feels like an old-school Super Mario game but with mushrooms and UwU spikes intent on un-aliving me. I make jokes, but it has a ton of personality in it so that's a plus. I will state that I do wish they'd make a more appropriate hitbox for "Mamashroom". Too many times I died when my character art was o…1 found this helpful
