About Markus's Miasma
Welcome to UCSC—well, kind of.This isn’t the sunny college campus you remember. In this 2D puzzle horror game, you're dropped into a fog-drenched, twisted version of UC Santa Cruz where nothing feels quite right. Familiar landmarks are warped, the silence is heavy, and the mist hides more than just bad weather. You’ll explore eerie paths and unsettling buildings as you piece together the story behind Markus—a guy with a past so dark, it’s bleeding into reality. Solve creepy puzzles, uncover buried memories, and try not to get too lost in the fog (literally and emotionally). Key Features:
Welcome (back?) to UCSC. You might not leave the same.
- 🧩 Puzzle-Based Exploration: Navigate through haunted versions of labs, libraries, and forest trails. Solve logic puzzles to unlock new areas and piece together fragments of Markus’s mind.
- 🕯️ Atmospheric Horror: Inspired by Silent Hill and Mad Father, this game focuses on slow-building dread, psychological unease, and eerie sound design—not some cheap jump scares.
- 🗺️ A Twisted UCSC Campus: Iconic locations like the Quarry Plaza and Porter Meadow are reimagined in a surreal nightmare. Expect familiar spaces, distorted by guilt and memory.
- 📖 Narrative-Driven Gameplay: Dive into a branching, emotionally charged story with themes of trauma, regret, and identity. Your choices affect how much of Markus’s truth you uncover.
- 🧠 Estimated Playtime: 1–2 hours

I wanted to enjoy this, but unfortunately until the developer fixes the bugs I cannot. The game has crashed twice and with no save function all progress is lost each time2 found this helpful
Pls fix the bugs, it can't be played.
Cool game, but a bit buggy.
A neat game with innovative action and fun puzzle mechanics. As others have said, a save system would have been a welcome addition but it's a good experience nonetheless.
