About Martial Law
Martial Law is a game about difficulties that came with Communism in Poland. Game is meant to visualize the realities of Polish families back then, their ways of thinking and understanding the world. The story is shown from the perspective of a man who is abandoned because of his low social status. He tries his best to be there for his daughter despite the difficulties. Game is also meant to be educational. There are many places you can stop to learn more about Polish culture from the communist era.Martial Law features!

I thought *Martial Law* was just another small indie game trying to teach you some history through a simple story. I was wrong. The graphics are simple. The gameplay is simple. You walk around, talk to people, make choices, and try to get through life in communist Poland. But somewhere along the way, you stop thinking about it as a game and start thinking about the people living through it. You're not some powerful hero. You're just a man trying to survive, take care of his daughter, and get through another day while the world around him makes even ordinary things difficult. What I love most is how the game shows history through everyday life. Empty shelves, difficult choices, suspicious authorities, family problems, and small moments of kindness make the setting feel much more personal than a history lesson ever could. And the choices actually matter. Sometimes you make a decision thinking it's completely harmless, only to discover that it has consequences you weren't expecting. There are funny moments too, which somehow makes the serious parts hit harder. I've played games with bigger stories, better graphics, and far more complicated gameplay. I …3 found this helpful

A (depending on how you play the game) wholesome story set in cold war Poland. The game has a narrative focus and has a short playtime, but the little time you spend with it is extremely enjoyable! It's a simple idea, beautifully executed.

The game dialogue sounds as though it was written by a millenial texting with a friend, not so good.
very good game. going in i didnt expect much but they nailed the vibe and atmosphere. the art is amazing the music is good the story is heartwarming and realistic and you will learn a little bit about poland history during your playthrough .8 out of 10
