FREEDOM WARS Remastered

I was thinking of recommending this game halfway through playing it, but after finishing it and playing the end game, I have to say that it's a grindy and unfinished storyline. Like, why did they remaster half of a game? This clearly needed a remake instead. It reminded me of God Eater, but nah, go play God Eater series instead of this ♥♥♥♥.

How did I not know of this game before it got remastered? This game is very good, shame that not a lot of people know about it. Sure, at first the controls feel very sticky but you'll get used to it soon. It's like God Eater but you move slower, the arena is much smaller, and the aragami are actually dangerous. The weapons feel distinctive even in the same category. Some swords have more mobility than others but deal less damage, some assault guns work differently as well. The greatswords feel very satisfying to hit and the spears deal multi-hit attacks that can proc status effects like it's going out of business. I just slot in a sword and a spear because I feel guns don't have that much impact, but I did have fun when I was practicing with them. The thorns (grappling hook) are pretty lackluster though. They follow the holy trinity of tank, healer, dps, which severely limits what thorns can do to change your playstyle. The tank thorn can buff your defense, the healer can heal, and the dps thorn can root enemies. Other than that, its not much of a big deal. I wish they would have more creativity like having a thorn that can spawn weak auto-turrets, or have one that buffs your relo…
