i was sold on physics based tricks and the built for real mountian bikers but this game is just like another riders republic and desenders i find myself unable to controle the amount of a wip hard slams on thin air bc leaning the bike does 0 difrence for grip and berms are soo buggy that i spent 30 min to find out it is 1 to 1 desenders and find myself randomly doing tricks that make no sence for the butions pressed like why isn't it a nac-nac like LB and R3 with a whip motion or a scrub it feels more like doing combos on a fighter game than riding a bike.1 found this helpful
[h1] I'll recommend this game with a [b] MASSIVE [/b] caveat: [/h1] [i] tldr at bottom [/i] timed and scored runs exist - and it can still be [u] wildly [/u] inconsistent; especially at higher speeds. you could take the same line 10 times, and sometimes it feels like only a fraction of those times were expected/normal. there are still "pebbles" that if you hit, you will dismount from your bike; this is due to incorrect hitboxes; this screws with me, especially when trying to get leaderboard runs. it isnt all the time, but enough for me to put this here; as a warning. it makes me want to rip my hair out sometimes. this problem manifested extremely in the early days of MAVRIX - and its way more manageable than it used to be; but every time i hop on i always end up asking "how TF did i dismount here????" I'd recommend this game with that understanding in mind. [h2] The flip side: [/h2] this is arguably one of the best games for MTB out there - the game has been getting consistent updates - and although the player-base is small on steam, it is cross-platform; If you enjoy playing casually id highly recommend this game over any other one.
