✦ AI summary

Memary impresses players with its beautiful illustrations, memorable music, and emotionally impactful story that often hits harder than expected, particularly with its tragic endings. However, opinions sharply divide on the visual novel format itself—some appreciate the puzzles and emotional payoff despite occasional difficulty spikes requiring guides, while others dismiss it as pretentious fan-fiction lacking meaningful gameplay, and some simply find the writing style not to their taste.

9/10 very cool illustration and BGM. -1 cause because most puzzles required Googling or external interaction which is fine for me but sometimes it's a little bit too much...

"Memary: Memory of the nameless one" isn't a game, it's a cringey non-game high school anime club dropout fan-fiction that's been dumped on Steam into the games section. As a visual novel, it doesn't have any gameplay. It's just a lot of clicking through bad, cringe dialogue that no real publisher would ever accept. When people can't get their work published in print, they pay the $100 fee to dump their fan-fiction here instead, where we have to put up with it when looking for things that are actual PC games. When the Thai government discovered that the USA, China, Japan and Russia had a stranglehold on cringey, garbage high school anime club dropout fan-fictions on Steam, they commissioned as many fan-fiction writers they could find to create a supply of Thai langugage cringe on Steam. This is one of the results... a high school anime club dropout fan-fiction about, yes, the authors imaginary girlfriend, and being trapped in a puzzle castle or something. Sure, it's not properly in English, but the language of cringe fan-fictions is universal. This is a Choose Your Own Adventure format with a couple of "back of the newspaper" type puzzles, but that doesn't make it a game. It's …

I thought this will be just a normal VN with some puzzle but wow the ending was more emotional than I expected. BTWW!! I played this VN blindly to solve the puzzles which took me almost 2 hours in total. It has 2 endings in and I TRULY suggest you getting the true end lastly FOR THE SAKE OF THE ANGST. yes, angst. I repeat, ANGST. this game might shatter your heart to millions of pieces from another doomed yuri troupe. ACTUALLY, there aren't that many CG's, but it's still a good game either way! if the puzzles ever get you lost, then a guide is always there to have your back soooo pretty sure your brain won't die that much to reach the ending. oh yea, gotta mention that the female lead has voice acting too :3
