It didn't offer anything new apart from an uninspired and lame robot brawler/dodgeball theme, and in the age of tacticool military shooters and battle royale behemoths like PUBG, it's easy to see there's no huge crowd of people on Steam demanding dodgeball games that look like they were made for console peasants. Seriously, there is not. This was a massive flop. So, Metagalactic Blitz is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! I didn't get to play this when players were still active, but i thought maybe i could find somebody to play this with, or at least get some achievements. I wasn't able to get either. First there were no active players (surprise), but at least the game gives you the option to play singleplayer which is still pretty fun so i'm not complaining. There were two problems i had with this game and were the reason for this negative review: 1. Even if i didn't get to play multiplayer, there were pretty obviously characters that were straight up better than others, making some of them pretty useless and probably there to make achievements more of a challenge. 2. The game didn't recognize my achievements, so for most of my short lived experience i didn't understand what i was doing wrong, just to realize that the game was most likely bugged. I find it a bit sad that this game is now pretty much forgotten because even with this sort of problems i have faced, this would still be a pretty fun game to play online. It's just that my opinion was formed based on the current state of the game, which is pretty much unenjoyable: if i can't play with other people, at least let me enjoy reaching some achi…

An absolutely incredible game of PVP Dodgeball! Watch the Tutorial... it's shocking how much there is to learn. Taunting, special powers, catching, whipping balls, etc. etc. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS! I was able to do Local Couch COOP with an Xbox Core Controller + an 8BitDo Pro 2.
