Galactic Brawl

Reminds me of games like Fall Guys and Party Animal. I only played by myself and the game is new, so there are no players online unfortunately. Could be a fun game to goof in with some friends.

Galactic Brawl is the kind of multiplayer party game that immediately made me smile because it is clearly more interested in chaos than taking itself seriously. I can jump into colorful arenas with ridiculous weapons and fight other players using bizarre mascots, and I really enjoyed how quickly everything can turn into complete nonsense. It has a very simple idea, but the silly presentation gives it plenty of personality. The combat is easy to pick up, which I think is important for a party game like this. I can grab strange weapons such as a giant fish, a barbecue flamethrower, an electric fly swatter or even a guitar and start causing trouble almost immediately. I liked how each weapon changes the way I approach a fight, because some are better for direct attacks while others are much more useful when I am trying to catch someone off guard. The arenas also help keep the matches moving. I have to pay attention to the surroundings while watching what everyone else is doing, and the free for all structure means I can never completely predict where the next attack is coming from.
