About Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault

Dive deep into Action-RPG with roguelike elements and a tale about new beginnings. With no coin to your name, you and the other townsfolk find yourselves stranded in the distant village of Tresna. Now, it’s up to you to get back on your feet and turn your humble shop into the beating heart of the village’s wealth. Explore dangerous dungeons, gather relics, sell them, and reinvest in your friends’ establishments. Unlock new weapons, armor, shop decorations, and—more importantly—restore hope that things can one day turn around.Profitable perils await, so strap on your trusty backpack and dive right in. Trust your adventurer instincts to plot a clever route, then carefully arrange your loot to maximize profits. Remember: the further you delve, the greater the rewards. How far will you dare to go?After each escapade, you put your hard-earned loot on sale. That’s where your shop-owner charm will shine. Deck out the shop, read your customers, and set your own price to score the perfect deal. Cash in on special events while unlocking perks to build sales momentum. Battered scrap or shiny relic, their value isn’t fixed; it’s decided by you!A merchant can only be as prosperous as their village. Invest in the townsfolks’ establishments to obtain better weapons, armor, and upgrades. As the village thrives and grows more vibrant, new people (and money!) will be drawn towards your shop.Face the challenge of the Endless Vault, an ancient artifact that tests merchants' skills to their limits. Conquer the Vault's trials to upgrade your town, and continuously raise the stakes for even greater rewards.

This game is very refreshing. As a roguelite novice, after playing Hades, I got this one recommanded and I love the 2-part aspect of it. The part where you play the challenging game and the part where you get to do some management with the shop and lay back for a bit. The difficulty is rather good! I played in the highest difficulty, and at first it was a good git gud moment.

9/10 Impressive development while stay charming like last one. or 10/10 when release right now there are several minor glitches.

It’s Hades/Hades 2, and Moonlighter (the original)/Dave the Diver’s dual-system mechanic. …except it fails to really be as engaging as Hades’ combat, and it is pretty questionable how much depth the shop system actually has at the end of the day. The real question when I play this game is, “Ok. The combat seems way too simple. And I can get heckton of gold. Ok, so… uh… what’s the point of the game? To get more artifacts (through pretty unremarkable combat), sell those artifacts, and… get… more… gold?” Like, sure… I can upgrade my shop. Get a special display cabinet, or some upgrades here and there; but the core objective remains the same: make shiny yellow number go big. Not a horrible game by any means. It’s still EA and things could very well be revamped or changed ahead of release. YMMV.

Nice meta - shops and weapons can be upgraded, but gameplay is somewhat simple presently. There is a lack of combat variety like in Absolem.

Really nice game - for me - if you can compare it gameplay wise - its way more fun than Hades 2

Crash to desktop events and stuttering performance on a PC that should be more than able to handle it suggest that the game isn't quite ready for the prime time yet. Unfortunately it's difficult to assess what others are writing about sustainability of the core game loop if even early steps in the game are marred by these issues. Come back in a year perhaps.
